Is this the marriage of the parents? If so the certificate will give you both of their father's names and occupations which will help to find the parents in the 1901 census:-

Edward Collins to Louisa S. Davis
Dec. qtr. 1913, Lambeth, 1d, 590.

Seeing as the names you mention in this thread and your other one are direct lines you will have to go down the certificate route at some point to prove you are following the right people.

Judging from the dates you mention in both threads you can find quite a few of the references you need via freebmd.

You can try name searching both on here and other sites for possible links to other people researching the names you have in this post but bearing in mind they may still be alive you might find them privatised on other trees.

Once you get past 1901 you are more likely to find matches to other trees but you will need to get a few certs to confirm things first.
