Hi,

Could someone please look up Sarah Oakley born c1850 in Gornall Staffs.

She married Charles Hopson/Hobson and I have those Census information. I am trying to find her with her Parents.

She could possibly have a Sister called Theresa as in 1871 there is a girl boarder called Theresa Oakley living with Sarah and Charles.

Sarah won't be on the 1841 census if she was born c.1850. Is it the 1851 census you are looking for?

Clutching at straws here, do you know what her parents were called? Did you mean 1851? As in 1841 she would not have been born if as you state born 1850!!

If you do not already have it, I would advise getting the marriage certificate to at least confirm her fathers name and occupation, also her age before proceeding.

Sedgley is near to Upper and Lower Gornal.

Theresa won't be on an earlier census as she is only 8 in 1871.

Think it's off for the Marriage Certificate then!!!

Kate if you look at the census I posted it states born Sedgely, they are resident in the Lower Gornal St James parish.

It is the only one with Thomas a father b1850 as you state, but Kath has found the other that matches her age in 1871.

I was told her Father was Thomas but I don't just want to take that as certain and go off on the wrong line.

Will order Marriage Certificate and see what it comes up with.
