ancestors in the metropolitan police

I have found two of my ancestors were in the met police in the 1800's both were Sargeants and inspectors. Where would I be able to find their service records. Thank you in anticipation

Just asked my husband,as he is a Met police pensioner,and he doesn't know of any archives,but suggests I give you this e-mail address from his London Police Pensioner magazine,which has a lot of old things in from times [email protected]

This is the editor of the magazine called Susi Rogol.

National Archives Kew have lots of records on Met Police. Have a look at the research guide no 52 on their website, to see what the records cover.
