I am sure he is not the only one, but I need some guidence, please.
Malcolm of Colchester helped with info regarding a possible Harridence mob descending on Melbourne sometime between 1881 UK census and 1903 (and later) OZ Electoral Rolls. Is there a way to find this family arriving in Australia, the names are so significant, it has to be them.
Did I read somewhere that there is only marriage records available, if so where? Why did I ever start this madness ?? Gotta be off my trolley, Derek in France

Derek, you can find the following BMD records online for Victoria:

births (1853 to 1907)
marriages (1853 to 1942)
deaths (1853 to 1985)

http://online.justice.vic.gov.au

There are 8 entries for the surname Harridence.

In case you're interested, Derek, findmypast has a record for an AE Harridence aged 20 who sailed from Liverpool to New York in 1910.

Hi Derek, The Victoria State Library has an 'Ask Us' Librarian service (query form on-line) - they will check their records -including electoral rolls for you. ........I noticed 1 death in the (NSW) RYERSON INDEX :Hiram Robert Harridence d 31/7/199? age 52yrs (of Rockdale) -notice was in 'Sydney Morning Herald' 2/8/199? (couldn't decipher last digit) RYERSON's do 'look-ups'. ........Also -the NSW State Library would look-up the electoral roll for him in Rockdale (pre 1990). Valerie (WA)
