Hi
My gggggreat aunty Sarah C Alexander nee Auber born in 1810 moved to America from London in 1849 on the Henrik Hudson, info courtesy of Ancestry US New York Passenger Lists, but I have to subscribe to the Ancestry US to look at the original images. Sarah emigrated with husband William Alexander bc1812 and their children Alfred, Mary Ann, Clara, William and John.

In 1841 she is in Shoreditch, London. I would like to trace her on the 1850, 1860 and 1870 US censuses and find her and her husband William's deaths. Sarah C left a will in 1873 which was proved in 1874. How can I access New York BMD's please?

Thanks

Ben

Hi Linda

Thanks for that. I shall look into it to see more. Alfred was born c1834 so he might have left home by then.

I would love to know what an 1874 American death cert will give.
