Hi all you good people out there
i an trying to find out any thing i can about benjamin s Gosnell dob 18-2-1939 born Holburn london (we believe) he spent time at hutton residential school brentwood , before he was taken in by his adopive parents , he has an id card with DWOL 117 12 dated 19-1-1941 does this mean any thing to any one ?
can any one help please

Its a very unusual name. I wold have thought the ID card is probably something to do with the war or evacuation. Is Gosnell his birth name?



His birth is in the bmd index - have you seen that? He could buy the certificate for £7 from GRO online. The mothers maiden name is given as Pittson. Use the ref below for the cert.
