I'm not sure but I wouldn't have thought so.

Most libraries keep back copies of local newspapers on microfilm, so if you contacted the library nearest to where the event took place that you want to look up, they might be able to help.

You can usually contact most libraries by email (just google for the address).

Ive no doubt Lisa if you pay them a couple of quid the library will photo copy it and send it to you. Just email them asking what they would charge. If its a little local paper, give them a ring or look for their website as quite a few have archives on line now.

Thank you for that Heather, I am going to have a look for the phone number for the paper which is a local paper and see what they say, and will also phone my local library to see how much they charge for photo copies of things as I can pop there and get copies of what I want.
Thank you Michael for that web addy, I will have a look now.
Many thanks both of you for your help

If you are local to the area and can go to the library yourself it shouldn't cost you much.

My local library charge 50p per A4 sheet for photocopies. This usually means that if you want a copy of a page from a broadsheet newspaper it costs about £2.
