thanks for that Jim. This does sound the family i need. Thanks Glen. I think that fitzwilliam street had a pub at the bottom of the road and we have a photo of a pub landlady from the 1930s could be the family.

If you contact the library they should be able to locate any reports and copy them for you for next to nothing. Usual charges are around 50p per photocopy plus postage.

They are certainly cheaper than the records offices for things like that anyway.

hi there folks,
Need a favour if anyone is in the barnsley area. Need a look up on the death of a Sarah Ann Wood of fitzwilliam street Elsecar on May 15th 1903 aged 5 burnt to death. Can't get over there right now. Only want to know parents names. Any other info would be good though. If not don't worry folks, i wil have to wait and get over there.
