PDH not so new now! Report 28 Jan 2008 17:25

Hi all,
I've never got on very well with FamilySearch, seems to be complete luck if I get a hit....
I found someone I'd like to research more and it says this under the record:

"This information was generated from another entry that appears in this index. Look for another entry for this person. "

Well, blowed if I can see another entry....any ideas?
If I click on the parents (it's a christening record for Jeremiah Newell 1800) it just cross references the 3 of them.

Hi Pet,
Well "I've never seen anyfing like it in me life" as the old song goes. Try the 'contact' link and ask them what other entry.
Did you have a look for Newalls using the batch number?

I think this must be something to do with Newall being his mothers name...perhaps they weren't married yet...he will later be known as jeremiah Thomas.?

No, I take that back.
If you take a look at the baptisms for that batch number there are a lot of such entries...the surname of the child is given as mothers maiden name or father's christian name
I've not seen that before..is it a tradition of Welsh naming???

So is he Jeremiah Newell
or Jeremiah Thomas
or jeremiah Jeremiah????

Does he appear in censuses later???
