Ann, Thanks.

This is 'new territory' for me - I've never had the need or desire to complain to GR about another member.

They usually respond quite quickly in my experience Margaret. I would e mail them again and ask if they received your last e mail. I think you need to tell them who you want removed from his tree, plus his name of course.

It's now just over 48 hrs., since I contacted GR and have not yet received a reply from them. How long should I wait - am I being too impatient?

Funny that I received an e-mail from them yesterday, asking if I had any famous people in my family but they can't reply to a question I raised the previous day!

It's irrelevant how many names he has.

The only thing he shouldn't have done is add living people to his tree in breach of the GR rules.

As you've asked him once at least already not to do this contact GR and tell them what he's up to.

Good luck

Reg, Yes I did allow this person to view my tree but it was years ago when I first started on GR, as I said I was 'green' (stupid actually). It never occurred to me that a VERY distant relative would want to add my Father in Law or my Nieces Husband to their tree.

When I asked him to remove those 'living' relatives, he responded by removing his whole tree. However, now he's back again.

Heather,

that's what I'm tempted to do. Only trouble is I don't know for certain exactly how many 'names' he has - I no longer have access to his tree.

Report it Margaret - GR can remove the living persons.

Obviously, report it to GR

BUT....you must have allowed this person to see your tree, complete with living people................

I've just discovered myself, husband and other living relatives on another GR members tree.

I know who the person is and requested some time ago that he remove us from his tree.

Do I contact him AGAIN or report it to GR?
