Yes on a few occasions for something special.

Do you do clothes washing on certain days...?
( my 89 yr old aunt always does a main wash on a Mon.lol..we joke about it when I phone her she's say's my washing is out )
I have to wash nearly every day !

I am fortunate because our hairdresser comes to us and it works out cheaper than going to the shop. At the moment I don't need her because I've lost my hair due to Chemotherapy and wear a wig, she still calls to cut my husband's and son's hair.

Have you ever had your nails professionally manicured ?

Hoovering,cos the slight bend makes my back ache like toothache.

I have my hair cut and coloured at the hairdressers ( I hate it)
I went yesterday after 8 wks, normally go every 6 weeks; I have naturally curly hair and have gone from looking like a blonde wild witch to a brunette urchin in just 2 hrs. The UVA and strip lighting had lightened the colour so much, it was incredible, I like to stay as near to my normal colour ...less the grey ..as much as possible.

Do you like going to the hairdressers ?

Yes sometimes , when I am feeling a bit low or tired , I'll go into town and treat myself to a new belt or even a tea shirt. since packing in work(used to work in a Children's nursery) my nails have become stronger and don't break so easily so i like to treat myself to a couple of nail polishes, and if I go off the colour i can always give them to my daughter , she is a fashion student and doesn't bother what colour she wears she has been known to wear 3 different colours at one time. also like to change my shampoo regular as when my roots need doing a different shampoo brightens up the colour.

What job do you hate most doing in the house.??

Thinking of it, but I have to get my passport renewed. Hubby has holidays to take before Jan.

I've been doing a little (really..... only a little retail therapy today Shrug for £8 from As*a ,with 10% discount cos my son works there )

Does retail therapy give you a little boost...?

No, we did win a giant squirrel which we gave to the local play group. We had bought a lottery ticket outside of Summerfields and later on the same day they rang and said could we come and pick our prize up. Two of our sons were passing that way and we asked them to get it, they were not amused to carry this huge squirrel through town to their car quite ruined their "Street Cred" they were in their teens at the time.

Do you have any late holidays planned?

Never bought a lottery scratch card, but hubby bought a Glamorgan cricket Club scratch card when dau was a baby 23 yrs ago and he won £2000.
We were able to upgrade our car to to new 4 door which made it easier getting the carrycot (buggy top) and baby seats in and out.
Don't think either of us have bought one since :)

Have you won anything worthwhile in a raffle...?

Only the original one, we keep the same numbers and have a direct debit set up to pay each month, likewise if we win anything it gets paid straight into the bank. Saves time and if we are away, no worries.

Have you ever bought and won anything on a scratch card ?

Do you do the lottery ? There are so many of then now !

Up until I was seven years of age I was brought up in the country so I really like horses but never learned to ride them, much to my regret.

Have you any ambitions you haven't yet fulfilled ?

We live in a bungalow, the only stairs are to my dau dormer bedroom,( don't run up those) but yes I can run up steps quite quickly.
I was excellent at falling down them as a child!

Not as many as I would like, we have two ponds in our garden which take up a lot of room.

No , my 'children' are 21 and 23 with no signs of getting hitched.

Do you grow your own veg, my hubby plants ours garden and my late dads, we had 8lbs of kidney beans off dads garden this week, haven't picked ours yet this week !

Yes we have a black bin for household rubbish, Blue bin for plastic, cardboard, and a red bin for Glass.
we keep all our dustbins at the bottom of the garden and my hubby calls it dustbin city.


My first grandchild is overdue and hopefully will make an appearance at any minute, Have you any grandchildren ?

Are you encouraged to recycle in your area ?

I like it warm ...mid 20's but with a breeze.'..... I wish ..!
Holiday's abroad I like it in the 30s but again with a breeze ,don't like it humid.

Do your council keep your street lights on all night?

Very moderate as a whole as we live in the Thames Valley but up until the early 60's I lived on the outskirts of Hastings very near to North Seat one of the highest points in Sussex on a clear day you can see the coastline of France and it could get very cold in the winter.

What is your ideal climate and temperature?

3 things.. a salt and pepper condiment set in the shape of an aeroplane that my dad bought his mother on a Sunday school trip in about 1919
(dad was plane mad and I have loads of spitfire and hurricane collections from when he left the RAF and more recently )
Dad's de mob jacket.
A china dog 8 inches high (presumable from a pair ) that my grandparents were given as a wedding present in 1908, I used to 'play 'with him when I was about 3 or 4, grampa died before I was 5 and said the dog was always mine; I also have the 14 inch dog, but no one in the family seems to know where the right hand dog to each of the pair are !

I live 1350 ft above sea level and have bad weather unless we have a heatwave!
