Not as much as I'd like to. .My 89 yr old aunt gives me a lot of info,( got all her marbles and a good memory) and my Dad had done a lot of research when he died 4 yrs ago,aged 90,( again had all his brain power...more then me ) he and his cousin who was 3 yrs older than him pieced many thing together, but he would have loved the PC access we have now to resources.

Are you going or have you been on holidays this yr? If so where.?

My husband's cousin in Canada who he wasn't aware of and on my side
a 2 x great grandmother who commited bigamy, also a bastardy order for the upkeep of another 2 x great grandmother and the errant father's surname was the same as my husbands which is a fairly uncommon name, I haven't found a connection although it was in the same area as his ancestors. I also discovered that one of my brother in laws and myself share the same 4 x greatgrand father & grandmother

How much time and effort do you spend on researching your family roots ?

Lol Diane my eyesight is going!
I can see OK first thing without my glasses ,but tend to need them later on in the day.
I joined GR to research my family...what else .lol

I've met 2nd cousins via GR who I knew about but had lost touch with,
Have you had any major findings thro GR ..?

yes I love horse's and used to ride at the local riding school as a child.
my favourite horse is a palomino I love the colour.


Can you speak any other lanuage other than English ?

Not a fan as such, don't have any albums or CDs but I liked most of his music, Especially his first solo 'Ben'.

I have been to the IOW many times as my eldest son attended boarding school in Ventnor, in the 1970's. Its well worth a visit with lots to see and do.

Were you a fan of Michael Jackson?

Been for a week to North Wales, but nothing else booked as yet, my passport needs to be renewed.

Have you ever been to the Isle of Man or the Isle of Wight ?. I haven't but fancy both.

No, I try and keep a healthy varied diet, and we grow a lot of our own fruit and veg.

In school, we dated for a few months when I was 14, he left and began working and we drifted apart. We met again when I was 17 at a local dance and have been together ever since and married for 33 yrs.

Moving to senior girls school which had just been built and had a state of the art gym & science lab. years later my nieces attended the same school and the art teacher was still the same as the one who taught me.

My 3 wheeler bike which I swapped for a puppy when I was about 10
Our dog had just died( he was born a week before me ) and a neighbour's bitch had had a litter. I remember the dog with more love as he was mine! and he gave the love back. A beautiful mongrel that could have been pictured on any chocolate box.

Yes, I have one younger brother who lives in Scotland but works for ACE study tours and lectures abroad on Art history trips most of the year. So Christmas is the only time we meet up when he stays with us for a few days.

Normally an owl, but don't need 8 hours now so often up early.
Can't get on puter early tho as it's in our bedroom. Just waiting for my lappy:))
