Not going on holiday, having major home improvements, may go away for a couple of week-end trips.

How long have you had your double glazing?

Anne

Anne Report 21 Mar 2009 13:41

Yes, they are very good at promoting all recycling, kerb collection for most things, apart from glass which we take to the bottle bank. They also sell cheap composters, we have two in our garden.

Have you decided where you are going on holiday, this year?

I would be selfish, buy a bigger house, change the cars we have ,buy my dau a car, pay off their student loans, and get myself a new wardrobe of clothes, then I would make a donation to 2 charities and if any left over invest the rest.

Do your council have a recycling system ?

Unfortunately, most of my family were cremated with ashes scattered [not my idea] my husband's brother who died of cancer at the very young age of 28,leaving a widow and three young children, one of whom was born a month after he died. His ashes were buried and the family had a tree planted in the crematorium with a plaque giving his name.

If you won a large amount on the lottery what would you spend it on?

*$parkling $andie* Report 18 Mar 2009 23:18

Yes,hubby has a garden full in summer, we only grow what we eat don't grow for profit.
K beans, b beans.peas beetroot,onions,pots (sometimes) sprouting broc, straws, rhubarb,apples,chives parsley,thyme.mint in our garden.
We haven't sold my dads house yet so he plants k beans b.beans peas and onions there too, the soil there is much better but the house is 5 miles away so more difficult to keep an eye on and keep watered, but there is a huge apple tree there. It's a much bigger garden than ours.

Do you put flowers on your loved ones graves regularly (or are only able to do it at certain times of yr distance permitting ?)

*$parkling $andie* Report 16 Mar 2009 23:10

Unfortunately we have a lot of magpies
I have a 'bird book' (have more reference books than novels !)

I do not know the difference between the male and female robins will check it out tomorrow, but as they are small birds and are generally at the bottom end of my garden, ( 60 ft perhaps ) and I do wear varifocals can't tell. They don't seem to be worried by they magpies and chase off the blackbirds.lol

Do you like the reality TV shows ..?

Anne

Anne Report 15 Mar 2009 10:44

It does sound like you have a young robin family nesting near by. Watch out for magpies as they are notorious for stealing other birds eggs

Can you tell the difference between male & female robins?

[ we have four that are in our garden most of the time 2 chubby ones and 2 slightly taller and thinner. One of each seem to make a pair but not sure which is which.]

*$parkling $andie* Report 14 Mar 2009 23:28

No , our garden is big but on a slight slope (so is our neighbours but they have one)
I always thought it a threat with my children were young and around, you hear so many stories of fatal accidents.

I have 2 robins coming into my garden every morning, do you think it's mum and dad feeding the chicks ? (We have a large laurel hedge which we have nests in the past .)

Anne

Anne Report 14 Mar 2009 22:18

Yes, We have a lot of different birds as we live close to Windsor Forest.

Do you have a garden pond?

*$parkling $andie*

*$parkling $andie* Report 14 Mar 2009 20:51

Yes , I was a few months pregnant at the time, and almost hugged the tester !!
Thankfully all the family have done so....the cost of retests these days !

Do you feed the birds in your garden.?
