Sane Jayne. Just remember, someone else may suffer from this incompetence. I'm waiting to see what the letter says, as I will have a chance to reply to it. |

My dad 87 year old dad has just been discharged today. He is blind and has had to come home with a catheter. Was just giving him his evening tablets and saw a new box. Opened it up and read all the stuff with the reactions that could happen which seemed a little scary. Put everything back and then looked at the front of the box, thank god, and couldnt see his name, then found a female name and hospital number. Rang the ward and they confirmed I have been given someone elses tablets by mistake. How scary to think if I had given my dad the tablet and hadnt read the box etc, or if it had been left to a carer to give them to my dad, they wouldnt have bothered to read everything I am sure. Am just debating now whether to make a formal complaint, what do you think? |
