Hi all,
Well trying to survive these cold days. I do so hate the cold.I've had my help today and she didn't mind going out onto the balcony and cleaning it and the windows. It is a good job we are all so different.
She asked me whether I was going to sleep this afternoon. Sleep, what in the afternoon I said. She said what do you do then. Well, I've always got something to do and never enough time for making cards.
My neighbour on the third floor is off to Hungary on Saturday. She has a house there and cannot get there very often. Her husband used to drive there but he had a stroke, leaving him with epilepsy so not allowed to drive now. She is now going to take it in turns with another young girl - a KLM stewardess who used to live here - and drive there and then other friends of theirs will drive them home. So sad, when at this time of life you should be enjoying yourself and now because of illness cannot.
Now see you all tomorrow,
Sylvia xxx

Morning, well, just!!

Well we have lots and lots of snow this morning enough for the kids in the village to go sledging!! Still the sun is shining and it is all melting very fast, still more forecast for tonight. Off as the grandchildren are on their way.
Have a good day all of you

Evening ladies, well what a mixed bag of weather today. Went to the post office this morning it was lovely and sunny, went in the car so did not bother with a coat. Oh what a mistake!!!!!!! Had to park the car about 100yds from the post office and whilst in there the skies opened, got absolutely soaked on the sprint back to the car!
Whilst there I stocked up on stamps, as they go up on Monday, should have enough to last for quite a while.

Hello ladies, I look forward to sending you all cards.

Lynne, my thoughts are with you. My mother suffered with Alzheimer's for about 10 years. She eventually did not know who I was and it was so upsetting. She thought I was just someone who was kind enough to visit her. She was a lovely caring person and I miss her.

The weather has been lovely here in Harrow, I was able to go out in a light coat for a change. Had my usual Friday lunch treat - Mozzorelo, sundried tomato and pesto panini and a large capuccino. Yum. Hope I've spelled that right.

Have a great weekend.

Issy

Evening everyone, glad to see so many of you posting on here!!

Babs, glad to hear you had a lovely Birthday and Anniversary.

Lynne, sorry to hear that your MIL is getting worse, as you say it is an awful disease to watch someone with especially when it is someone so close, know just what you are going through.

Nadine thanks for the web address, will go take a look, have a nice holiday!!

Issy enjoy your time, as has already been said, this is a lovely group of caring and sharing people.

Sylvia, your lunch sounded lovely, here was me with just butternut squash and sweet potato soup!!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Hugs Joxx

I cannot believe that it is Friday evening again. Tomorrow Saturday and Johan and I will be going to our granddaughter's birthday,
The weather has been quite bright today but still too cold for me.
I bought some fried fish offcuts on the market today. They are always delicious - and so easy for dinner when you feel lazy!
I had some potatoes over from yesterday so fried these up and made a salad of lettuce and tomatoes and hey ho a healthy meal.
There seem to be a lot of babies born at the moment so it is a good thing that I have some ready made.
Have a nice evening everybody.

Welcome, Izzy, We have good chats and enjoy each other's company.

It's a lovely day today in Newcstle, and I want to get on with the garden as hail is predicted for the weekend. I mowed my back lawn yesterday, and it was so long, I was shattered when I had finsihed.

Love to all

Anne.

Morning! Hope everyone is okay.

Just 2 quick things.

If anyone has a Sizzix machine, ellisondesign.co.uk has got a 75% sale on at the moment (but be warned, its very easy to spend lots of money!)

and I don't know if anyone knows about this - making cards for charity (got until the end of April). All the info on this website:
http://www.create-a-card-for-cancer-care.org/

Have a great day!
