Hitch up my skirts! Its not that sort of holiday, I'll have you know!

I'm pretty decided on the outer Isles - depending on ferry costs that is. Might just have to settle on Skye I suppose. At least I can have my dogs with me though.

Re Marilyn' reply below ...I live near Barmouth lol... Eldrick, not the best time of year for Barmouth , too many tourists!

Much better in late September, you still get good weather but the roads and beaches are much nicer then.

Have you ever visited Glastonbuy Tor ?..........that is such a wonderful place....... if you decide to head South.

In Aryshire is a lovely loch named Loch Doon....you can pull up a camper van alone its edge ( for free ) and wake up with sheep wandering about your camp.

Been to stonehenge - boring. Got my own little set of standing stones here, that no one ever visits :-)

I really must get around the UK a bit more....been all over th world but hardly know my own country outside the north here.

But I'm almost decided on Skye to start with....a drive up to the Great Glen, a night at Loch Ness then over to Fort WIlliam - maybe Mallaig - then up to SKye and if I can get over to Harris and Lewis, etc, I will do so.
