Its a great show. Hate to think that any of the money would go to the government when nearly all will have some distant cousins out there.

I have looked at the SLADE name in Birmingham. Died without issue I think but gone back to grandparents and sent a G.R. member a message to contact me as they might just be a blood relation. That was yesterday...still waiting...
If it works out I will have the bug...!

Funnily enough as I was watching this programme this morning I suddenly thought how many of the brilliant people on here could give Fraser and Fraser a run for their money !! (excuse the pun!) but there are some absolutely brilliant detectives on here.

I thought that too Sue - after all, without the heir hunters he would have had no idea he had money to claim - I think it would have been a matter of courtesy to at least given them something if not use them. Still, that's why that guy lived in an up market thatched roof property and I'm in a semi - too soft for my own good!!

I thought it was a bit mean that the chap did his own research and the company which had worked so hard finding him lost out.

I imagine they take a fair sized commission but they do seem to work long hours to get there and they find people who knew nothing about the deceased a lot of the time.

Unfortunately, the once Mum-in-law was contacted, the name and town were right, but the deceased had no connection at all. A shame really as there was over a million pounds.
