Hi Renata, if you look at your sent messages and there is an envelope showing it means that Dutch (Joyce) has not opened the message yet. If there is no envelope she has read it. :-)

Hello.

I did sent private message to Joyce few days ago but not received a replay yet.
I just wonder if I had done it correctly and she received it.
I am new to this site, so not to sure.
Can anyone please contact Joyce and ask if she received my message?
I do understand she may be very busy after coming back home and I do not want to rush things. I just want to know if my message was received:)
Thank you very much for your help.

Renata xx

Renata - Dutch forgot to say that if you do give her your phone number, you should send it by PM, not by posting it on the thread. Email adresses should also be sent in the same way ;-)

You can send her a personal message with your contact details via GR by clicking on her name

Thanks for this, Renata, I am sure Joyce/Dutch will be happy to talk to you when she gets back home,

You should be able to write a private message to Dutch by clicking on her name but I am sure she will contact you as soon as she knows about this message.

Thanks Sallie, will leave it to you to let Joyce know. It was lovely to see you and Alun yesterday, and thanks to Sheila and Glyn for the gorgeous Sunday roast she did, it was above and beyond any we would get at a Carvery and lovely to sit round the table chatting together with Joyce and Jan and the gorgeous Layla (sp)

Hello.

Thank you all so much.

I am new here and tried to send Joyce a message but it seems that she needs to be In my contacts first and not really sure how to do it.
If any of you could e-mail her It would be great but if she is on holidays now, it can wait. I waited 7 years , so can wait few more weeks:)
I received some information from the local library too which might be helpful to Joyce and if I can help I am happy to do so.
I just love the house and I am interested in its history so really can't wait to find out more:)
Have a good day everyone.

Welcome to the boards Renata. I haven't see Dutch on here for a couple of weeks. It might be better to send her a PM. After all, this is a rather old thread that she might not be keeping an eye on now.

Hi,

I just joined this site as I live in the house, which used to be Bedford Villa, Lytton Road, East Barnet Valley.

If I can be of any help to you, please let me know.

I am looking for any details abouth the history of this house, as we would like to put it back to its original condition, and I've read that you have photo of this house.

Is it possible to send me a copy of it?

Please let me know.

Many thanks and kind regards,

Renata

We used to live in 200 Camberwell New Road dutch and my Sis was born there......it was the end of a terrace of Georgian houses owned by the landlady who lived in the flat below and we had the two upstairs floors.......sounds glam but was quite poor and was condemned and was held together with iron bars and rivets.....I have seen it since and it has been partly rebuilt.......your house would have been on the opposite side of the road, but they were mainly shops as far as I recall with flats above.....directly opposite 200 was the King William IV pub and outside were traffic lights as 200 stands on a crossroad........I will google and see if I can find anything else....
