Hi all Thought I had better bring us up as we slipped to 14.

Our weather has also slipped down again. Last night it was -42 with the

windchill. Minus 40 is the same on both charts so it is cold.

I think they are calling it an Arctic outflow. Just throw another log on the

fire and cuddle up. Loved your wreath Mary, they are gorgeous birds.

Any time I see a program on Australia I watch as they have such a grand

assortment of wildlife.

Hope you are all well, please let us know. Love to all Edith XxXXX

Morning all, Just had a look at the moon, supposed to be the biggest one

this year, lovely. I can sympathize with you Les, that is why so many from

our area head south for the 3 coldest months. The short days and cold

some folks just can't handle.I would love a year of Sept/Oct. weather !!!!!!!!

Welcome Mrs. Blue Eyes we enjoy new friends and we are a happy bunch.

J.A hope things are a bit better for you, watched another Aussie program

on your birds and would love that big black one with the impressive plume

on it's head. Cockatoo I think. Hugs to you.

Great to hear from Fred, can't wait for you to share those pics with us.

Safe journey home.

Mary, Can't get a frozen butt ,love . Too D----- cold to sit outdoors!!!!!

Enjoy your warm days and you really can send some north if you want.

I now am feeding 3 fox from my balcony and they are getting a varied

menu as other folk in our building are adding to the dinner plate. Fun.

Time for breakfast so will say bye for now. Love to all, stay warm and

dry (Les). Edith XXXXXXXX

Hi everyone... From a sunny warm Aussie..

Hope all you lot ooop north in Canada and the uk are not freezing ya little buts off..Hee hee hee...Gosh I think it is the only thing I can skite about in regards to winter..cos in our winter we dont even get a frost so there is not much difference between the seasons for us here in Sydney..

Les.. Get that trademark pronto,,They will all be pinching your designs...How about the name "Gala Aprons" so that all the people having a Gala will get one for their ladies...Are your fingers defrosted yet..hee hee hee..

Hi to Mrs Blue Eyes..(can we have a christian name as that is a mouthful you have),,Welcome to a great thread full of lovely people..We love it when people pop in. and you are welcome to join us as you can see we are from all parts of the world..

Hi Brenda Lovely to see you..Hope you are well..and not working to hard..

Fred..Enjoy your holiday and the wedding.. Hope the air trip was not to much for Liz and she is having a good time also..Lots of picks of the wedding please.. bet you both scrub up pretty well for the big day..enjoy....

Dorothy -26...bbbrrrr,, how can you stand it...

Diane, We have been reading about the closure of your Woolworth stores.. What a shame as that means less competition and cheaper prices.. We have Woolworths also but they say the 2 companies are not connected.. Ours is mainly a supermarket and is going ahead in leaps and bounds as they use stand over practices, and rip off the farmers and suppliers and there is no law to stop them..A crying shame..Our Fair Trading people are just toothless tigers and do nothing..gets off soapbox...
Its a shame for the young as that is the type of jobs that attract young schoolies and gives them some pocket money..

Sylvia Hope you are ok and taking things easy..and having lots of ME days to get your strength back..big hugs...

Well all have a lovely weekend and try and keep warm..or cool as the case may be...

Love Maryxxx

HI Everyone,
Guess I have been in a blue funk for a few days. I am so sick of not being able to have a good walk with Bella. Now they are calling for flurries again....when will it end.

My granddaughter called yesterday (at 2 and 3/4...lol). She said Gammie when are you bringing me my presents....had a good chuckle over that. I said soon and she replied I'm coming to Gammie's house. So she was off to put on her boots and was half way out the door before d-i-l caught up with her. Quite the Miss!! Meanwhile the roads where the kids live are still full of slush and ice. Soon!!!

Am in process on registering my company name. Already on some of the apron sites I can see instances where others have copied my designs and even stolen my apron names. All that from being on etsy. Now I think I am going to blog and put the aprons on there. If anyone has better suggestions let me know. Norm says I should have a web site but it's expensive if someone creates that for you and I am IT challenged so there is no way I could do that myself.

Good to see everyone on here and do drop in again Mrs. Blue Eyes...we like new friends.
Fred, enjoy that sunshine and then send some to us here in the frozen colonies...LOL
Hugs for Sylvia.
Have a lady coming this morning to special order a gala apron so must off and hit the shower etc.
Take care you lot.

I'm not a Canuck so I hope you will excuse me intruding, I have been reading through your thread and enjoying your chattering, you have a lovely cyber community here. When you have said where you live I have "google earthed" it and momentarily joined you.
Thank you ladies and gentlemen.

Morning all!!! Well it's very cold again today, so won't be venturing very far. Fred sounds like he's having a lovely time, he might come home with some new recipes..
Hello Sylvia hope you are ok.
Les you really have been snowed in haven't you. I won't complain too much about our weather here.
Well, Woolworths has gone from our high street, who would have thought it. Now Marks and Spencers are talking redundancies as well it seems to be everywhere. I really feel sorry for the kids who are just leaving school and trying to find something. My son is 15 and will be staying on at school for a couple of years, so hopefully by then things may look a bit brighter. He's wanting to be a Stone Mason so you never know.
Anyway have a good weekend everyone. Stay safe and warm !!!

Hi! Everyone. Well the funeral is over and I must get on with the rest of my life, or as much as I have left of it. The funeral service was very nice and the graveside part was not as bad as I had expected and my sons were absolutely wonderful.I know Norman would have been very proud of them. Even the little grandchildren were very good and everyone thought they were adorable.
We went to my niece's house afterwards and spent a very nice afternoon with family and friends. There were even some old friends from England there who I hadn't seen for 34 years and just happened to be in Perth at the time.I wish Norman could have seen how many people were at his funeral as he always thought no-one would attend, but he didn't know how much he was loved and will be missed.

Love to all from Sylvia XX

Edith, it is raining here and we are watching the water levels around our house. Don't want to have a flooded basement again. They are finally shifting all the snow piled in the middle of our streets...bit messy but hey! it is looking a bit greener all over.

We are off to haul our garbage down to the dump, haven't had a garbage pick up since before christmas....the lanes are impassable. Ah! well and so it goes.

Hope everyone else is doing OK
Will be thinking of you today Sylvia.

Hello all Another week of snow and "bl----y" cold.
I see Les is still getting yuck for weather as well.
A bit of a blessing in that the days are finally getting longer. Good to see Fred back, we need more soup recipes as this is definitely the weather for it. Do you have one with barley??
I know everything will work out Sylvia, just take it one day at a time. It's been 12 years for me and although a day does not go by that I don't remember him in some way the memories are good ones.
Hope this finds all the others well and happy.
Talk again soon. Edith XXXX
