Positive thoughts for your d.i.l. I am sure she is getting the best possible care and now the children are older they will be able to help too, so the whole family pulls together and becomes closer still because of this. Don't beat yourself up over not being able to go and help, it will be hard to support them long distance but you will know best how to help them, maybe by being there for them all to talk to seperately if they want to - perhaps the youngsters will want an ear to ask you things or say things they might not feel comfy saying to their parents.
I hope all goes well for her and the whole family and wish you the strength to help them from a distance.

Oh Brenda I am so sorry to hear this, it is such a shock when it returns and it knocks you for six. You may feel helpless but you are on the other end of the phone and she knows you would be there if you could.
I am sending positive thoughts and praying for her and all the family, and for you to keep strong for your son, he will need you on the phone when his wife has her treatment.
