Just picked some pears from my sons garden now I have them on the window sill in the sun..

Cath glad to see you back we have missed you , sorry about your grand daughter hope her finger gets better soon, I would be lived about that first Doctor too.

I was sorry to hear about your Grandaughters finger I hope you put in a written complaint to let them know.
I hope she gets on Ok with the facture and dose not have to have anymore treamtent. trouble these days is that so many doctors are busy some dont bother to go into things deeply.
Hi Stephen I always use small step ladders when I have to climb with a bar at the top to hold on too.the trouble is one of the windows I have to reach is behind my TV and I cannot move the TV so have to stretch to get to the curtain rod.
I think I like the man in the kilt best is he on holiday ?????????

My granddaughter is still in pain and the swelling is still there. Poor little mite can't write properly or do PE and Games at school. I hate it when the little ones are hurting, it brings a big lump to my throat. It's her 10th birthday next sunday so hopefully that might distract her a little. I might just have to spoil her :-D

One bit of news I came back to I could have done without. At my daughters 21st party on the 9th September our eldest granddaughter hurt her finger while in the playroom at the hotel. The next day it was very swollen and she was in a lot of pain so her mum took her to the surgery where the doctor said it was probably not broken and sent her home. 2 weeks later still very swollen and painful so back she went and saw another doctor who arranged a fast track xray. Well it was definitely broken and the break was caused by a large benign tumour (Enchondroma) in her knuckle so she is now attending the fracture clinic, and at her next appointment on 10th November they will decide whether she needs surgery or not. I must admit I am not happy with the first doctor she saw.

Had a great holiday and although we did a fair bit of work at my mother-in-laws enjoyed it all and feel relaxed and rested. I missed all my grandchildren though and was mobbed for cuddles when I got back :-D :-D.

this pc is not running to bad now it is plug in to the hub box only thing is i have to stay in the kitchen to use it

Rita, Fish and chips, thats what I am having this evening, think I am getting picked up about 6:30 and were all off for a fish meal :-D :-D :-D :-D

This afternoon I have with a little difficulty laid the foundation for the shed I am going to build, have already got all the timber, so tomorrow will start to build it.

afternoon all. what a lovely day it is getting a bit chilly now. but must not complain about todays weather. we need some more of this.

I spent the morning changing my curtians in the living room one big window and a small one never again . it took me ages I could barely reach the top corner to put the plastic clip over . four attemps before I managed it but what a struggle that was. I told a friend I will leave them till one of my family come over and get them to do it next time
its done now and I am pleased I did it. my jobs to do list is getting smaller 8 more to go.

George I wish I could sleep like that. two hours and thats me up and about then back to bed another hour maybe two. I feel shattered when i get up in the morning. but it wears off after awhile.

I had fish and chips for dinner. a friend phoned and asked did I want any ?as she was going to the fish shop at 12.30

Went to a very large mansion house with the grandaughters today, It is now a Museum and has loads of activity for the kids. The Mansion used to be owned by a friend of mine and owned by his family for over 250 years.
There has actually been a dwelling on the site for over 1000 years..What a history. The family made their money by selling copper to sheath the bottom of the wooden ships of the Royal Navy. He was nicknamed Copperbottom Forbes.
