TessAkaBridgetTheFidget Report 28 Dec 2010 23:49

I hope that everything goes well over the next few days, that Thursday's meeting takes place and that a care plan is quickly put in place so that Daff can go home.

A couple of nights sleep in her own bed, plus a few days putting everything to rights, at home, (i.e., just as she wants them), should work wonders.

The hours of daylight (weather permitting) should be getting gradually longer. So a more pleasing "outdoors" is available for her to see.

It must have been upsetting for you both, for Daff to have to go back to the Hospital, but with just a little luck she should be home really soon.

Sending positive vibes, with my love and hugs,

Tess

I'm glad that Daff was able to be home for Christmas although it must have been difficult for Daff to go back to hospital. It will be so much better when Daff is home for good - I'm sure her progress will be much quicker.

So pleased you got Daff home for the day. Everything will have looked strange to her by now, she would need time to get to feel that it is home again. When she is able to shake a cushion, move a vase and other little touches it will gradually be different. When I have been in hospital, longest 6weeks, it took me some time to feel comfortable again. It's a good start and you have proved to yourself that you can manage.

Hi Mr Daff
Glad daff was home for Christmas Day and that you had time together. Hope she continues to improve and the care is sorted on Thursday to get her home properly. She will be so much happier there. Though of course the hospital have done their best to make her well again.
Love to you both and Best Wishes for a Happy New Year

Well, Daff did get home for Christmas Day but it was a day of 'mixed fortune'. Recognition and confusion in equal amounts; ate virtually nothing but at least had a glass of Red !
Going back to the hospital was unpleasant to say the least, and understandably, Boxing Day was a mix of confusion and fatigue. No overall change today, but there is the meeting on Thursday to decide on the 'way ahead', so may not be long before Daff is home and not just on 'day release'.

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas, and best wishes for the New Year!!
