Thanks R, hopefully the memory blank will eventually get shorter. I am sure it is just a matter of time.
Please take care on those roads, better not to go than to end up in hospital yourself.
She does like her bed doesn't she? The chair is obviously not as comfortable or as warm.

Dear R
Thank you for the update. Sorry to hear that Daff is still not eating but I'm sure that will change when she is home. Lets hope that will be soon.
Do take care in this weather

Well, managed to get in to see Daff though it took some time...conditions not good here!
Very tired today, but then she has had a couple of 'busy' days so really not surprising. However, Daff is still not eating or drinking much and that remains a primary concern.
Nurses cajoled her into sitting up in the chair next to her bed this morning (part of physio), but when they turned their backs, Daff snuck back into bed !! Couldn't stay as long as normal, but she is aware that the last year is but a blur, though that in itself is actually an improvement - previous 'memory' has bridged a longer period of time. So perhaps step forward & step back today.
Snow icing over tonight apparently, so tmw should be fun.....no roads gritted around here again!

Nadolig llawen!

Still wearing me uniform, with layers n layers of orange thermals underneath. No snow here but that NE wind is biting cold.

Do hope our SMajor Daff will continue to improve.
I'm wondering, would the smell/scent of something Christmassy stir her appetite Mr.Daff? can we have suggestions please Troops?

BC I'll have you know that under all the layers the colours are still there.

Pleased that the length of time of awareness is improving. Shame about the eating and I too wonder if Daff will eat better when home. Maybe her subconscious mind is telling her there is something wrong with hospital food. It is a long job but good to see improvement however small.

Thanks R and take care of yourself too.

Morning Daff and thanks for the news Mr D. The Troops are still marching on in a kind of muffled way on account of the snow, and they are looking a raggedy bunch as colour co cordination and style seems to have flown out the window.,,but we are still here to cheer Daff on when she comes home.

Hope you all have a good day. BC XX

Let's hope that daff will be able to come home for over Christmas, I'm sure that she'll be better in her own home and will start to eat properly.

Take care Mr Daff especially if you have snow.

The pattern of awareness mixed with confusion continues, though there is a slight improvement in the length the former is retained, albeit mainly relating to the current day, some is carrying over to the next day - so improvement again.
Appetite remains zero, though supplements are being taken after some encouragement...this area remains a concern, obviously.
Roll on Monday.....

Cheers,

R.
