Daff! I turn my back for a couple of months or so and what happens??? Goodness me girlie, you had better get yourself back to rights p.d.q. or else!! I see from the postings that you have a trillion or so positive thoughts and hugs etc. so I thought I'd just "threaten" you by way of a change. :))))

Thinking of you love, and hoping (no.........knowing) that you will be feeling much much better in the near future.

Love to Mr Daff who is doing a marvellous job by all accounts (cough!) and love to all the masses of your friends on GR who are supporting you.

Remember..............I'm watching! :))))

Hi all, l used to love a cup of hot oxo , must get some in next time l go shopping...........mind you it will upset Ed as he hates the smell or taste of oxo, mmmmmm. !!
Daff hope today has seen a little more improvement,

Daff is still in my thoughts every day.

Shame about the chocolates, but the visitors might enjoy them.

I like both Bovril and Oxo although haven't drunk either for years. Used to have an Oxo drink when I got to work in the cold weather.

I think Marmite IS yeast based, so no, not sutable. How about Bovril, favourite of old farmers for their morning drink.

Does marmite have yeast in Jean? Don't think Daff can eat anything with yeast in, not sure though.

We always had a cup of hot oxo when poorly. Does she like Marmite on bread and butter? The drugs play havoc with your taste buds and not everything tastes as it should. Still, any food is good in her condition. Nice to know she has two nurses in the family, as you say, they will ask the right questions and will recognise when she is getting better.

i bet she wouldnt refuse a sherry lol,

Brrrrr really cold this morning and the frost is still here......temp is about 32.

Positive thoughts for you again Daffers, hope you can gain another small step today or even 2:o)

We're off to Dorset in the morning but will be taking me laptop with me to keep an eye on you!!!

Daff's favourite is normally prawns but I am not sure how restricted her diet still is in the aftermath of chemo, I know that last time it was a while before she could eat a lot of 'normal' foods until her immune levels rose again.

Thanks for last nights update.
Someone said they would be surprised if she enjoyed the chocolate !!
Maybe Anne's suggestion of her own soup might be the answer, if you didn't feed it to the cats when the freezer broke down.

Hope today is a good one for Daff.

Good to hear that you are both getting support from Daff's sisters. It must be nice for you to have someone you can chat to, face-to-face about Daff. Especially someone else who is close to her
