Just remembered who wrote Wheel of time books Robert Jordan but don't start them unless you intend on getting them all (about 15 ) I think he may have finally finished them

Jax,only at the end.............I have the dvd and the book. The dvd I have had since it first came out in the early 90's and even now, It is one of those films I never tire of.

I adore reading, would recommend Philip Pullman, he has been compared to Tolstein. Absolutely gripping, he wrote Dark Materials Trilogy:

Northern Lights
The Subtle Knife
The Amber Spyglass

Having found it hard at first to get to grips with, found myself unable to put the books down.

Jax, I can highly recommend this true story by Betty Mahmoody. This is her real life story!

Not Without My Daughter
by Betty Mahmoody & William Hoffer.

Betty Mahmoody lives in America with her Iranian husband and their small daughter. He wants them to go to Iran on a 2 weeks vacation, Betty feels it is a bad idea. he swears on the Koran that it is just for 2 weeks and then they will return to the USA. But, once in Iran , he has other ideas and tells Betty they will be staying put.

Without saying what happens, next..she has to plan her escape from Iran, bearing in mind, if she were caught trying to leave without her husbands permission, she would most certainly face the death penalty. A sit on the edge book, the film is even better.

I can highly recommend it.

Jax.........I think you'll enjoy the Crystal cave lot then if you like that sort of story........I've read most of the Arthurian stories over the years and I think it's the best of the lot : )

Me and N have book addictions luckily we enjoy the same sort of thing apart from he cant get to grips with Tolkein and I cant get to grips with his Dune books lol

Hello Jax...........I used to read a lot ( in my youth ) and maybe if I finally get my eyes tested I might take it up once more.......lol

Mary Stewart The Crystal Cave , The Hollow Hills and The Last Enchantment are a good read if you like anything Arthurian.

I have in the past read a strange selection of books ( my Mum was a very bookie person ) and introduced me to some of the more obscure "older" authors , they have a charm of there own coming from bygone times.
