What a cynical lot you are lolol.

It would be nice now if Holly's mum put her daughter first and talked her into withdrawing from the contest for the sake of her little girl.

She is a sweet little girl with a passable voice but pleeeeeeeeeeeease she is 10 years old and obviously not ready for this sort of limelight. She has her life to decide if this is what she wants to do.

Let her be a child for a while longer.

I felt so sorry for Greg - he didn't stand a chance - but Hollie has the rest of her life!!
There's no way she'll get through to the final - unless the British public has a strong sadistic streak!

As I said on General: meant with the best of intentions, I don't think little Hollie should have been voted through to the Final. It might be too much for her. You saw how she was at the end ........

My OH and I agree that there should be another contest for the younger ones. Mr Cowell, can you hear us all? Simonnnnnnn!!

Maz (the Royal One) in the East End 9256 Report 29 May 2009 23:27

sorry but I just thought of Violet-Elizabeth and "I'm going to thcweam and thcweam and thcweam until I'm thick"

it was immediately obvious that the public would vote for her because she cried (understatement). then when she tied for 2nd it was blatantly obvious that none of the judges would have the courage to send her home and risk the same performance again.

the cute little girl the other night (can't remember her name but she was a much better singer than this one!) was upset at not being chosen in 2nd place, but she didn't scream and hiccup like Holly tonight.

maybe I'm a hard faced wotsit but I doubted the authenticity of it too. I suspect she is very used to performing (seems a very stage-show girl) and knew exactly what she was doing. I would have turned her down and said I didn't think she would cope with the pressure tomorrow.

To be fair, she did show courage in coming back on and giving it her best shot, and that would have gone a long way with the judges.

But I still stand by everything I said earlier. And at the end of the day, the right act won the show in my opinion...she came second.

she does have a beautiful voice, but she'll still have it in five years time I would think - ten year olds should not be allowed to take part in my opinion and her mother should have known better

she got through on a sympathy vote and that's not right

I don't know Roxanne... but that child was genuinely terrified... of her mother or having to perform, I don't know.... but a normal mum would have been protecting her!! Not pushing her to do go through it all again.

Grrrr again........ I soooooo want to thump her mum... and me a pacifist as well!!

This child should be playing barbie dolls and skips .......Having a childhood that cannot be replaced ...

MrDaff Report 29 May 2009 22:21

Well, all I can say is.... I wanted to strangle her mother..... fancy begging them to let your extremely distressed child *have another chance* which is what she did as soon as she got onto the stage... any normal mum would be whisking a child that distraught and terrified straight out of the door!!

Grrrrrr.... I could really swing for her!!

But Holly does have a lovely voice, and at her age, she will have other opportunities to shine!

She shouldnt have got through, that just wasnt fair on any of the other contestants.

Shame on the judges putting through a child who is clearly too emotionally unstable to even stand on the stage for the results without her mother by her side.

If she wins, we may be seeing the Royal Variety car crash tv LIVE

I was thinking along those lines.

She will now lose her childhood through fame. Does her mother really want that for her?

Lightning

Lightning Report 29 May 2009 22:09

I disagree wit the whole child star thing..... You only have to look at Lena Zavaroni and Judy Garlands....Who lead such tragic lives...
