Allan, I love Jacaranda trees. I planted one just inside my front fence and it was lovely - gave shade where and when needed and looked beautiful - until I found a slight crack in the concrete on my front patio (20 feet away from it). A root had travelled under the surface and was into the foundations of the patio. I had to get an arborist to get rid of it and poison all the roots, but I still cried when I lost it. |

Another of my favourite plants is the Wisteria and where I am now is a villa/townhouse complex built on two long houseblocks. Apparently, the original owners had Wisteria growing where my back fence now stands - and (builders being what they are!) it was just 'cut' and levelled for the metal fence to be erected. |

Ry Cooder was born in Los Angeles. I have never taken any notice of him but I am married to someone who loves music by the likes of Merle Haggard, Dwight Joakam, John Prime and other country singers but is not a Johnny Cash or Kenny Rogers fan. These are the first two he had of Cooders - got two for $10 from CD Connections. |

Well, it's almost 8.30 here and the lad is on the bus. I have to start drinking my water soon for ANOTHER CT scan. |
