Hello, Tec. It's easy buying for my family these days. Gift vouchers all round:-) The littlies have discovered parcels so I have things for them to unwrap and then some money for mum to buy them new clothes for summer. I've just bought a little teaset for our grand-daughter's family of dolls. They are apparently too grown up now for bottles and need cups of tea:-))) |

Hello all! Good to know everyone is on deck and getting there as far as Christmas goes. No use talking to Diane - she will be either asleep or our shopping! Wherever she is - she's not at work - so I hope she is enjoying herself! |

I well remember the pie-man coming around during school holidays. Oh the joy of a pie or sausage roll smothered in tomato sauce. Even better if the ice-cream man came around later in the afternoon. Although with 4 children in the family an ice-cream was a treat. Mum would make ice-cream with Carnation milk. She still makes some for me as a treat - little custard tarts too:-)) |

Sue -I still have my doll's china tea-set with nursery rhyme characters on it. I was hardly ever allowed to play with it for fear that I would break it. Mine only played with it on special occasions and it has been in storage - don't think my grand daughters ever played with it - I gave them plastic ones. |

Great! Our postal workers are walking off the job - and I posted my cards yesterday! That's what I get for not posting them sooner! |

I remember having a lovely china teaset. Can't remember what happened to it but having a mum who throws away anything that is old it's probably long gone. No heirlooms in my mother's house:-)) |

I think Australia is the home of the pies. They have so much choice/variety. |

Oh yes Sue - I had them when we were in Perth just outside of Launceston. I have a Huon Valley recipe book and it has the recipe for curried scallop pies. |

Hello Allan - and I'm afraid bye bye. I must be off to beat the shopping rush. I thought they were walking off the job but I may have read it wrong and panicked:-) |

Bye Sue....Enjoy shopping, but don't forget to change before you go out, not that I believe you are accustomed to going out in your pyjama bottoms. |

We have streets here that go the full hog with decorations. It started out with one street in Ponsonby but now other areas have got in on the act. |
