Talk to you later Allan. We are in for a hot one too. Yesterday was very nice - seemed like it was about to rain all day - but it didn't! I've already soaked my pots. |

Are you still there, Sue? Sounds like you are organised. I've been told not to bring anything, but I might do some pastizies (ready-made to cook, of course) and I have all that in my freezer. All I need now is a fresh lettuce and maybe a few more salad vegies - not so much for Christmas, but for the days following. Might give the car a run out past the Fruit Market - and will probably come home loaded! |

I don't know how you do that Diane. |

Diane you've obviously gone over to Aussie time - but that's no good because it's dark here when the sun shines there. Hope you don't turn up for work in the middle of the night - they'll be thinking you've gone strange. |

Brrr it is so cold here, even though the heating is on full. |

It hasn't actually been quite so cold here today, still freezing of course and ice everywhere, but bearable. The paved area in my garden is covered in ice, my dog went across it this morning like Bambi, with legs skidding in all directions. I was concerned he might fall and break something as he is getting old now and must have brittle bones. |

I think the idea was to put it in the garden here rather than the allotment, but we shall see.We eat lots of fruit and veg,so put all the peelings in a bucket and take them down to the compost heaps on the allotment. During the winter we aren't going down there very often,so we wanted somewhere in the garden to put the waste. we don't want a compost heap, hence the idea of this worm farm. |

Good morning/evening all. Just heard on the news that it is minus 20 in Warsaw - so I'm glad I don't live there! I'm sure my blood would freeze in my veins. We expect 32 to-day and that's too hot, but I'll take that any day in preference to minus 20! |

I always think it's easier to warm up than cool down but emails from family show that even with central heating and fireplaces it is still cold. My brother in law was "chatting" with my OH yesterday and he said he is chilled to the bone and can't get warm. OH is worried as his brother has a bad chest. |
