Perse - Your Sky Tower looked very impressive. They have put up some very strange looking buildings in London. I think modern architects try to out do each other. The Prince of Wales is well known for his scathing attacks on them - he has a point, but I did like your Tower, so you'd better tell them it can stay, as I approve. |

We have not so much had problems here with Architecture but builders - they have cut corners and we have claim after claim on these apartments that we now have and other houses - called leaky building syndrome - buildings rotting and being not safe to live in - people in tears - no way of refinancing etc. Though some were poorly designed - no eaves over windows - we live in such a wet climate - rain all year round - damp and mildew contribute to a lot of the health problems here in the poorer and even not so poor families. |

I'm watching Sky News at the moment and they've just shown New Year celebrations around the world. The announcer (British) said the fireworks in Sydney would be hard to beat but they showed the fireworks in London and that looked wonderful. Time Square in New York looked good too. The news item also showed people having a dip into the water near Edinburgh - well near the Forth Bridge. Are they mad? |

Perse - Like you we live in a wet area. Wales has the highest level of rainfall in the UK. My house was built in 1911 - structurally it is solid, but we have a damp problem in part of it. |

I must be off, my friends. The phone rang and OH has informed me we are expecting a visitor. My sister in law so I'm not complaining although I was hoping for a quiet day. She's a very "easy to be with" person. |

Well OH and I off out - so must be time for you to sleep Tec - I wish you pleasant dreams. You expect that in an older home Tec but new ones falling apart from the start is a bit much when they still have to pay off the mortgage and have no where they can hang their hat. |

I suppose everyone has gone to bed by now. Just want to thank you for your concern. The night cramps continued all week, so no sleep, except sometimes early morning (when I'm usually on here!). My Doc will be back from holidays on 11th, so I'll have it all checked out then and see if I can have something ready to take if it happens again! |

I think Berona's best bet is to watch some of the stupid summer programmes on TV - they are enough to put anyone to sleep. But saying that we have a favourite of ours on very late tonight. Touch of Frost - with David Jason playing the lead... is real life brother plays a sergeant in it as well. |
