It's so annoying Tec - and rather insulting. My sister once told me that I'm more interested in the dead than the living. I have to admit they are often much easier to get on with and they don't argue back:-)) |

I had this problem doing my OH's tree. Asked his sisters for info and all I got was "Ooer, I don't know!" to everything! One sister didn't like the idea because she was afraid I would 'dig up dirt' that they didn't know about - and they all did nothing to help but occasionally would ask if it's finished yet, because they were waiting for their copy! I might add that they all have computers - why couldn't they do their own? |

I liked it where they interviewed a friend of Kim Philby's and this friend had very fond memories of Philby and thought very highly of him and the interviewer asked well what did you think when you found he was working for the KGB. The interviewee said well Philby was very intelligent and we were very stupid. Apparently Philby used to receive pots of marmalade from UK - got to keep up with some British traditions. |

You're spot on Tec - time, money and patience. But oh the rewards when it all falls into place. I'm lucky because my brother helps me and also shares the cost of my Ancestry subscription and certificates. |

I caught this just before I log off, Tec. Sounds the same as the situation with dad. It became impossible for mum to look after him and it was a dreadful decision to have to make although it was the right one. |
