Allan.. I'm sure your GP is really nice otherwise you wouldn't go back to see her.
She must be very caring if she has 9 children. I like someone that is a straight talker and doesn't beat around the bush:-))

I love John Wayne films, Perse:-))

How are you both, by the way!!

Carole, who has now worked out how to use Limewire and is listening to music!!!!

Allan

Allan Report 19 Jan 2010 10:25

Carole, my GP is also a Pom, not that that has any bearing on her capabilities, but it is nice to be able to discuss things back in the UK

Allan

PS I am fine but a tad hot...another hot day in Paradise, or Hell, take your choice!! :0))

Carolee

Carolee Report 19 Jan 2010 10:29

Allan..What part of the UK is she from? and she is definitely ok then:-))
Do you find when you hear someone talking in a English accent, you are drawn to them? I do:-))

Carole:-)

Allan

Allan Report 19 Jan 2010 10:35

Carole, I'm not sure!

As for pommie accents, I tend to avoid them unless they are from the North :0))

Well I must go and get something to eat...will chat later (ie later tonight UK time)

Regards to all

Allan

Carole did you go to Daylesford.

I looked up Falls Creek on the map - I went up Mt Hotham in the really deep snow one September - so I guess there would still be snow around the top of it.

We went to Bonnie Doon and there was no water at all - after seeing the movie "The Castle" and all this talk of waterski-ing. Could not believe how dry the Murray was in places.

Hi Perse.. we are going to Dalesford on Friday.
I have also been to Bonnie Doon too, but not since I was a young lady, nice water they have:-)) did you take bottles to fill?
I was just reading the Easter egg thread, I'm listening to the Beatles at the moment, have you got ESP again??? :-))))

Yes I have Carole
but am going to go to Allan's GP to get treatment for it.

Went to Old Tallangatta that got flooded out many years ago, where they said if the water is low you can see the pattern of the streets etc and where some of the places once were. The water was not there - patches of grass and cattle feeding in it.

A place I really liked was Maldon - in NZ they would've pulled it all down years ago.

Persey.. I don't think Allan's GP can fix your ESP, LOL

I dont think Ive been up to Maldon.
There wouldn't be many rivers north of me with very much water in them, they would either be or nearly, bone dry.

Carole:-)) x

I know it is fairly horrific - the poor old paddle steamers will have no where to paddle.

I saw one boat ramp and yes there was water but there was a great big drop from the end of the boat ramp to the water.

See you in the morning Carole

Night (^_ ^)

Nice to see you posting on here Ali - take care and get your son to chat to us.

Good night Persey, sleep well:-))

I wont be around in the morning, I have to take my car in to get the boot fixed (it wont unlock from the key release) so I'm bootless:-))

Hello all - see you're having a little chit chat. Carole I've been to Maldon - a lovely little town and I love Daylesford too. In fact I love Victoria:-))

Allan you don't need to apologise for giving me sound advice. I have been making notes of the discrepancies and talking to another committee member. I will most definately be asking for a written explanation. Thanks for that advice.

Hi all
I know there is no one around at the moment, but thought I'd come on and say hello just in case I can't get here later.

Alison, it was nice to see you posted earlier, stay positive hun and rest as much as you need too, we all wish you well and are alway's thinking about you. You are constantly in my prayer's and thought's.

Sue, it must be hard to be in your position at the moment hun, you seem to be doing thing's right by involving another commitee member to verify what you have found, hope you are able to sort thing's out soon.

Carole I intend to hold on to the monitor till I get as much evidence as I can, I have made 2 more entry's this afternoon, as he had his music blasting with disco music and all that was mostly heard was the bass.

I hope to speak to the rest of you later when you all get up or settle down for the evening

Although you had to put up with the racket, it is good that at least you managed to record it Diane. Perhaps he doesn't realise that you are in during the day, so he might be noisier then than during the night

It has turned rather cold here this afternoon, and there's a very cold wind, snow is forecast for tomorrow - I decided to have a long overdue haircut - there was a new hairdresser, and she went kind of mad with the scissors - it is very draughty around my ears.

You will just have to wear your nightcap all day then Tec. It has been really cold and foggy here today. We did the library book deliveries this afternoon and I was glad to get home.
I saw the bad forecast for you tomorrow. I hope we just get the rain because we are going to see OH's aunt

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 19 Jan 2010 19:53

Linda I forgot about the nightcap, good idea.
I wouldn't have bothered with the haircut, except that it's my birthday at the weekend, and I think my daughter may turn up. She made caustic remarks about my hair at New Year, so if she found I still hadn't had it cut, she would no doubt accuse me of looking like an old hippie.
I should have left it, just to aggravate.

Are you planning on taking your laptop on holiday in order to keep an eye on us all in your absense - you can recline by the pool, sipping your pina collarda, and telling us how hot it is,and would somebody move you as you're burning :))

Unfortunately the lap top will be staying at home. My mobile will work, I can receive texts for free and it only costs 50p to send one, so I will be able to keep in touch with my family that way, but at £1.75 a minute I won't be phoning unless I need to. It won't be that hot, just high twenties which will be very nice. Having fair hair and matching pale skin, I do have to be careful, so I tend to shade bathe under the umbrellas

I hope that you are having cake with candles on Tec, I shall refrain from the usual jokes about the heat coming off them etc.

I have a few things to do.so I will be back later

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 19 Jan 2010 20:14

I don't think there's a cake big enough to take all the candles I would need- so perhaps a fairy cake, with one candle would be better.
For some strange reason my darling daughter finds it hysterical that I'm as old as I am - she apparently can hardly wait for next year.
