Hello everyone:-))

Tec - you kept that quiet. I hope you have a wonderful birthday and I too won't make jokes about the amount of energy coming from the number of candles you would have - if you were having that many:-)))

After a perfect day yesterday it would seem we have another one today. Sorry Brits but if you can talk about your weather I can talk about ours:-))

Tec, just remind your daughter that if you are getting older, then she is too. That should shut her up.

I saw you were having a lovely day Sue, as Prince William was shown in Sydney on the news. He was touring a deprived neighbourhood.... sits on hands

Tecwyn Report 19 Jan 2010 21:05

Good Morning Sue,
It would be anti social to have that many candles, global warming and all that.......so just the token one will do.

We like to hear about your weather, it is interesting - and if your weather is perfect then I am pleased for you. We have to take what the weather throws at us,wherever we live, and I'm looking forward to Spring here, when hopefully we too may have some perfect days.

Hi Linda. We had a great day:-)) Prince William came for tea at our hovel..er house...and I made him pikelets and vegemite sandwiches. He said I reminded him of his grandmother:-))

Berona Report 19 Jan 2010 21:17

Hello everyone. Yes, a perfect day coming up - although it could get hot later - looking at 34 by this afternoon. Only 15 at the moment, so this is the time we get as much work done as possible.

Tec - I'm so glad you are using the nightcap to keep your head warm. I made it nice and long so you can wrap it around your neck too.

Prince William in a 'deprived' neighbourhood? Well, some people might have other ways of describing it. ('ignorant' comes to mind).

SueMaid Report 19 Jan 2010 21:23

Sorry did I say grandmother Linda - I meant mother:-))

Hello Berona - it's supposed to get to 28 today but it was 25 yesterday with a lovely breeze. The last two nights and early mornings have been chilly but the cool mornings are perfect for getting things done around the house and yard.

Good evening/morning to all

Sue, regarding your problem, put everything in writing and ask for everything to be in writing from the other party.

You wouldn't want any misunderstandings, like those on a recent Thread. :0))

Janet, did your rain arrive?

Ours didn't and it was a hot, humid day again!

Linda, it could have been worse. Prince W could have said that Sue reminded him of his Great grandmother :0))

Good evening Tec and Good morning Berona.

Also hello to Barbra if she is still visiting the thread

Good Morning Berona,

I would have been lost without your nightcap this winter, it's long enough to wrap around my neck, and the bobble is handy for catching the drip off my nose when it's very cold........thankyou sweet girl that you are.

I often wonder who arranges the itinery for the Royal tours. I think that both Princes William and Harry are comfortable mixing with the "common folk"
as was their mother. The Prince of Wales, and the other Royals never look at ease when mixing with socially deprived people.

It was the BBC news which called it a deprived neighbourhood Berona

Good morning to Allan as well

SueMaid Report 19 Jan 2010 21:55

The Royal family think everyone is socially deprived:-))

I'll tell you a story. Early last year a member of GR sent me a message saying that she thought we had a family connection. She gave me the name of her great grandmother and it turned out she was the sister of my great grandmother. I haven't had contact before with any relative of this family. We swapped information. She now lives in Wales after years of living and working in London. After a lot of communication by email she asked for my address and sent two lovely books on Pudsey West Yorkshire where my mother was born. We've exchanged photos of our families and cards and calendars at Christmas. I few minutes ago I received a parcel containing a beautiful handmade rag doll for my grand-daughter because this lovely person said she makes dolls for all the girls in the family. Yes I did shed a little tear because I feel really blessed having "met" this lovely woman. Would I be right in saying we are 3rd cousins, Linda?

Tec in the parcel were some beautiful photos of my cousin's house and garden in the snow. The photos look very nice but very cold. I think it's probably worse where you are.

Allan - wasn't it ridiculous how that thread turned. I just wasn't in the mood for that. The silly thing is I even got messages of support telling me to ignore other people and Uggers. We’ve sorted it out as mates do – after all even friends disagree and get annoyed with each other. As regards the problem with the driver – I have a copy of the constitution and I am going strictly by the rules. Of course we’re not talking about major fraud. There are some discrepancies that his wife has turned a blind eye to. Namely not recording odometer readings but claiming a certain number of kilometers. As our clients pay a set fee of $4 he also hasn’t recorded the collection of these fees. They’ve got away with whatever they’ve been doing because his wife was treasurer as well as transport co-ordinator. We have a new treasurer and she’s the one who bought it to my notice. It’s so silly because we’re really not talking big money.

Good Morning Allan,
Hope you're in the pink today, and it's a bit fresher for you today,

Sue, That was a lovely thing your contact did, what a pleasant surprise for you, and I'm sure your grand daught will love the doll. There are some very kind and thoughtful people out there - the photographs will be very interesting to you too I'm sure.

Allan Report 19 Jan 2010 22:10

Sue, what a nice suprise for you. Some people are so thoughtful even to those whom they haven't physically met.

I still keep in touch with my cosin's husband and daughter in the UK and I'm the only relative that does. The girl's Aunt (my other cousin) lives not far from them but does not have any contact with them.

Sue, when I started back at Dardanup recently I was immediately confronted with a similar type of problem although it didn't involve cash, but did involve the issuing of receipts. This was at the tip. The weekend attendant was collecting cash payments, writing out receipts but not giving them to people, despite a very large sign on the door saying that receipts must be physically handed to patrons.

As his actions were a breach of Council Policy, and we had received a complaint, he was suitably cautioned in writing about the breach.

Sue the other thread for some reason just seems to have gone off the rails, rather a storm in a teacup!

Good Morning/ Good Evening

No rain here Allan...looked as tho it would but no :((. Hoping for a cooler day today as I have been called into work, someone has gone on holidays and I said I would relieve if necessary.

Carole I still didn't get the school books, had planned to get them yesterday but ended up busy for most of the day...Then thought there is always tomorrow (you know best laid plans) now I am working so there goes that idea!

Feeling a tad tired this morning was planning on having early night and a friend dropped in unexpected and we had a few wines...:)))

Good morning Janet. 28c forecast for Bunbury today, and the advance forecast is for thunderstorms on Saturday with temps in the low 30's. Given the state of the land if we do have storms there is a strong possibility of bushfires!

Cherful little b*gger aren't I :0))

goodevening/ morning all,

Linda, he probably think's it doesn't matter of a day but what he doesn't realise is, his mother said to the houseing that the reason she is not there of a night is because she work's night's, him makeing a noise during the day prove's my case even more ( that she is not living there ) as if she was she would be in bed of a day, and that is her reason for me not seeing her ( liar that she is ) she wouldn't be able to sleep if she was there. BTW Linda I hope you enjoy your break hun, and the 20's is a lot better than minus number's.

Tec, make sure you keep those ear's of your's warm you don't won't frost-bite lol.

Sue, that lady sound's lovely, I bet you were touched by the doll for your grand-daughter

Good morning - well it is nearly afternoon here and the weather is lovely.
I am glad Wellington turned on a good day for HRH as it had 100 knot winds down there on the weekend. I love Wellintgon but it can be difficulat staying upright at times (without being influenced by alcohol)

Sue - what no Lammingtons? He probably felt right at home with you and wished he could stay longer - I don't think he really fancies all these stiff upper lip things they get him to do. I know if young Harry had been over here he would've preferred to go to the pub with the All Blacks.

Hi Janet, Berona, Tec in nightcap, Linda et al. (that must been you Allan that last one)

Good morning Persey, although we have already spoken on the other Thread!

I was always called Big Al at work for some reason. Not a very dignified expression for a manager, but a lot better than what they could have called me!

Hi Perse, you just arrived as I did.

Tec, are you doing anything special for your birthday hun.

Allan, if I have any council queries I will ask you or Tec as you both seem to be knowledgable about these matter's.

I'm just going to have my tea ( late I know ) so don't all disappear while I'm gone please
