Linda,
One of my friends is a Spurs fan and I text her and said that Leeds name was on the cup and she replied "eggcup"

Thank you dear friends for your kind and warm messages. I am priviledged to have such friends, and value each one of you as a friend.

I've had a lovely birthday. My daughter and her family made a flying visit, a round trip of 200 miles, just to spend a few hours with me and the Duchess. Their visit made my birthday special, the house seems to buzz with life when they are here - lots of love and laughter.

With friends and family I am a blessed and fortunate man - who could wish for more?

Tec.

Linda - I have PMd you.

Hello everyone:-))

Nice to see you Pat. Have you been hibernating?

I do hope Janet got back to sleep. I try to avoid afternoon naps because it disrupts my night time sleep. I can't help it sometimes. I sit down for a read and next thing I'm off.

Last night we went to a show at our local club. We had such a great time listening to some old songs from someone who has been a favourite of mine since my teens. Nostalgia is a wonderful thing.

I am glad that you had such a lovely day Tec, you deserve to have had one and all those candles will have saved quite a bit on your heating bill!

I got the messages, thanks for telling me, it must be a problem with windows 7 because the message symbol doen't light up to tell me. I do get an email to my inbox, but although I have my email runningall of the time and it shows on the task bar, I don't get any indication that I have a new email. On my other computer, a little letter symbol appears to alert me. I will have to have a delve about in the settings.

I have a few things to do, I will be back in half an hour or so

Good Morning Sue,
Glad you enjoyed the show - it's so nice to see live entertainment now and again. There is a place near here that have shows, not the kind of venue we would go to, and frankly some of the acts they have I honestly thought were dead long ago......some I remember from the early 60s

I didn't realise it was your birthday.
Happy birthday.

Sue,
I haven't been hibernating!
I wish that was possible. I would make a good dormouse!

Hello Tec. We saw Gerry and the Pacemakers awhile back and that was fun but we also went to see a member of an old band that was around in Australia many years ago and quite frankly I felt sorry for the man. He had long grey hair and was dressed as he would've been in his 20's. It was a little sad. The person we watched last night was obviously comfortable with the fact that he is no longer young and that's fine because neither was the majority of the audience. It was like seeing an old friend. The first time I saw him I was 17.

About 20 years ago I saw The Monkees!
I think some of the old Singers come out of retirement because people are getting younger if you see what I mean!

Hello to all

Tec, I'm glad that you had a great Birthday

Sue please remember that nostalgia is not what it used to be!

Good evening to Pat and Linda

Thank you Pat - My daughter was a fan of the Monkeys, and some Scotish lads that wore tarten and white outfis and boots, but I can't recall the name of the group.

I am a huge fan of Queen and have all their albums

Sue, The older entertainers are fine if they can still do it - but I find it rather sad and embarrassing when someone who was world class carries on forever, and should obviously call it a day.

There are two Ts in Scottish - Now that I am positively geriatric, and can apparently no longer spell, I would ask you all to bear with me, and do your best to attempt to decipher what I'm on about. - Thank you

I think the group you are talking about would be the Bay City Rollers. I used to feel like smacking them everytime I saw them on the telly:-))

Good Morning Allan,

We have to take our Wheelie Bins to the road on Sunday evenings, as they are emptied early Monday morning - I pass ed a gathering of bins earlier when walking the dog - I greeted each one in a very civil manner, but sadly got no response - do they have some secret language, only known to you?

Good evening/morning all. Sorry I'm late. Puter problems.

Happy birthday Tec. Don't you dare talk about being geriatric! Remember, I'm older than you are and I'm not geriatric.....yet.
Hope you've had a lovely day.
