Thanks for the good wishes Perse. Bad luck about the days falling on a Saturday. When that happens here, we still get the holiday - ie, Anzac Day and Australia Day are celetrated on 25th April and 26th January, no matter when they fall, but if they do fall on a Saturday or Sunday, we get Monday off as the public holiday - just like Christmas and Boxing Days - again, we get the extra days. I think ours might be the only country in the world with so many public holidays! |

Hello, Tec - you posted while I did. At least here spring is warm. Last spring there was a foal with it's mum in the field behind us. What a lovely sight. |

Good morning Allan. You have goldfish in a pond - and three cats? My little hunter would be in her element! |

Tec, believe me after temps of 38-40 at around 10.00am 30 in the late afternoon is cool! |

I've come to the conclusion that I wouldn't survive very long in Australia now - extremes of temps affect me badly, heat worse than cold. |

Can't bear rats. We have a little creek just down from us and every now and then we'll get one. |

I reluctantly bought a rat trap - it's against my nature to kill anything, but I draw the line at rats - afraid they might get into the house. |

Tec I don't enjoy the heat, and could put my fist through the telly when the wweather person says that "It' going to be a lovely warm 38c tomorrow" |
