That's okay Tec - I did comment on your sporting activities earlier on.

I am not feeling very withit this morning more without it - so going to make coffee and sort our our own accounts... I stayed up to late last night reading till after 2am - been keeping Diane's hours.

However, I loved your post yesterday Berona about daylight saving and Mr Whippy - I went through that one - I laughed at my kids but I was hacked off with Mr Whippy.

Berona, Thank you for your advice - not sure that I appreciate it really.
I've been "doing" things for years - the novelty is wearing a bit thin now.
This house is like the Fourth Bridge - no sooner do you finish one end, and it's time to start again.

Think I'll move into a caravan, or a narrow boat and live on the canals

Allan - I suppose it's a matter of what you want. Of your a,b,& c solutions, I can only comment on the outcome of all of them:

a) you'll be a hero
b) you can replace it with an updated one
c) you won't need one

Tec - our Harbour Bridge is like that. The painters are always there - and even so, the rust creeps in.
I'm sure your home renovating would be much more rewarding than hanging up in the air on a scaffolding for 8 hours a day. Your OH will bring you a cuppa now and again.

By the way, everyone - can anyone tell me what happened to January?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 31 Jan 2010 23:23

I think I may like hanging off the Harbour Bridge, could always drop off onto the deck of a cruise ship.
Actually, Allan sounds like a useful kind of a guy - maybe he would like a free holiday in Wales, if he brings his tools, and a paintbrush, and his DIY expertise.......

January did fly by didn't it?
I'm hoping February goes just as quickly, then it will be March and very nearly Spring - February can be a very nasty month here.

What has happened to Sue today?

Good girl, Diane. I didn't have to tell you to go to bed! - although I wouldn't call this early. Keep warm. Sleep tight.

Allan

Allan Report 31 Jan 2010 23:29

Tec, I'm as useful as a chocolate teapot! So even for a chance to see Wales again I wouldn't inflict myself on your renovations!

January? Has it gone?

Allan

Berona Report 31 Jan 2010 23:36

Tec - I'm pretty good at swinging a hammer, myself - just a long as I can sit to do it. I wouldn't mind a free trip to Wales.

Well, I'm off again. I have one chapter to read of the book chosen by the Greaders on General Topics. Not my usual style, but I have been able to relate to it and have enjoyed reading it. (PS, I Love You), then I am going to look at the DVD by the same name. My dtr hired it for me. Just hope I can work out how to play it!
Have a good sleep or have a good day. Talk to you all later.

OK Berona, You're on - there's plenty of screws to put in from a sitting position, and I've got an electric screwdriver.

I'm sure Allan is just being modest.

I just love it when I finish a job - all puffed up with pride and satisfaction, and along comes OH, takes a look, and remarks "That'll do"
Great :))
