Good morning/evening friends. I hope you are all well:-)

I'm sorry I was AWOL yesterday - my internet connection was playing up and after trying a number of times I gave up. Very frustrating:-( I was a little concerned that a virus had crept in as I had multiple emails the evening before from a friend and the virus protection told me they all contained a "nasty". However all seems well.

Good morning Sue. We missed you yesterday. Where is everyone else?
Sunny with clouds here, with a forecast for rain. However, we didn't get those thunderstorms which were forecast for three successive days, so I'm not taking much notice.

Hello, Berona. It looks like rain here and we had some through the night but soooo muggy. Thankfully we do have a nice breeze blowing so I've opened all the windows and doors to freshen the house up.

Good Morning Sue and Berona,

I WISH i WAS A GLOW WORM,

'COS HOW CAN YOU BE GRUMPY

Good morning Berona and Sue

Sue I thought that you had been kidnapped by your two desperadoes in a vain attempt to foil the audit and now it turns out that it was avery mundane internet problem.

I'd better phone the press and tell them to cancel my original story.

I'm forever picking up a virus on Java based programs. They don't show up until I do a full scan and to get rid of them is as simple as clearing the Cache Register (That is not a mis-spelling by the way! )

Good evening Tec

Hmm I might have to RR about the use of smutty words :0))

My goodness - the boys are bright to-day, aren't they?

Nice to know you have confidence in yourself Tec - and Allan starting the day with double meanings - wow! there's no stopping them!

Good Morning Allan,

Do you know that little ditty was in the Church magazine delivered today

We do have a new vicar

SueMaid Report 1 Feb 2010 21:18

Cute Tec - very cute:-)) And good morning to you and Allan.

No not kidnapped:-) Actually we've gone a step further and found a 10 clear cases of "misappropriation of funds". Legal advice is being sought. So if I do disappear it may be murder.

Tec, your new Vicar sounds like a man of the cloth that I'd like to meet

Sue, murder is a bit drastic, surely just good firm guidelines would be all that is required to bring them back into line. It's not worth you risking 15 years hard labour

Berona I reached the conclusion may years ago that I am a manic-depressive. Some days I can be as high as a kite and on others just get this deep melancholy........which is also what you get when you cross a sheepdog with a cauliflower!

Your new vicar sounds fun, Tec.

Allan - it might be me that's murdered. The plot thickens:-))

Tec - It's been a while since I attended, but when I see the Vicar of Dibley, I can't help wondering 'do vicars really behave like that these days?'.

Allan - the mind boggles!

Editted to say to Sue - Go ahead. You'll probably be out in 3 years anyway.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 1 Feb 2010 21:34

Sue - Please don't resort to murder - if you get locked up, we couldn't talk as they don't allow laptops in gaol.
You could of course get transported on a convict ship back to the UK, and it's very cold here. You wouldn't like it.

Sue, with all this sleuthing you are doing I now have a mental picture of you as a Miss Marple, or even Hercule Poirot,,,right down to the moustache.

Which is funny really as I don't remember Miss Marple having a moustache :0))

Berona Report 1 Feb 2010 21:39

Tec - your country is behind the times. It has just been discovered here that a 'boss man' doing time has been running his outside organisation from gaol, via the Internet!

Oh you lot are such comedians:-)) Actually I've found my family research skills - such as they are - very handy.

Berona,

We have had several vicars here in the last ten years - they have all had very different personalities, some were pompous, some were downright grumpy.
The new one promises to be great fun - I can't help thinking of Benny Hill when I see him around the village.
I have heard that some older ladies of the Parish who attend regularly are "outraged"
I think I may have to start attending on Sunday mornings

Sue, just so long as you didn't ask for help on TTF Board

" Can anyone help me. I'm trying to find some discrepancies dating back for some time.

I am unsure of the dates as some of the records are missing.

These were probably destroyed just before the Great Audit of 2009/20010"

LOL

Tec, give me a Vicar or a Priest with a sense of humour.

I can understand why some ladies may be "outraged" they take themselves too seriously.

There are one or two like that in the local Family History Society. Fortunately there are rather more with a mischievous sense of humour!
