Good arvo all:-)) I'll whisper so all those asleep wont be disturbed...shhhh!!!!

Persey, sorry to read your cousin's sad news:-((
On a happier note, did you enjoy the movie, "Its complicated"? My favorite part was where they got high and the part where they where talking on the computer-))

Sue... I hope you enjoy your time away, you will be missed:-))

Well, the young ones are back at School, which means I'm back to workies:-)
I had to pick up number 3 child from school today as he had an upset tummy, I thought he was fooling me but as soon as we walked out the gates, he showed me he wasn't tricking and it wasn't a pretty sight!!! So now I'm on bucket patrol:-(

My daughter had another horse show last Sunday, she won fourth place:-))

I hope everyone is well:-))

Hi to Ali, if you look in:-))

Hi Carole

I expected Steve Martin to be funnier than he was but thought Alec Baldwin played the part to the hilt (so to speak) and I really liked John Krasinski who played the SIL to be - Harley - he is a very funny guy. I see he was in Leatherheads with George Clooney and Renée Zellweger - I haven't seen this movie so am tempted to get the DVD out.
Up in the Air - was very good - had our NZ actress from Taranaki who was in "Heavenly Creatures" (Peter Jackson movie) - Melanie Lynskey.
They were both funny movies - but in a way they were also both sad - ie the situations that had arisen from them.

I'm beginning to sound like a reviewer now.

Your daughter is doing so well with her horse riding - congratulations to her.

My mother didn't believe me when I didn't want to go to school and I ended up having my appendix out. Kids can fool you - but you have to keep an open mind or in your case an open bucket. :<}}

Good afternoon Perse and Carole.

Carole, hope your son only has a one-day thing. Do they wear hats at his school? Depends on his age, I suppose, but could be the appendix - so don't leave it long if it continues.

Perse - It's sad about your cousin. 58 is not old and sounds younger as we get older. My OH had brain tumor, so for what it's worth, I can tell you that they don't suffer now like people once did. They are drugged so that they do a lot of sleeping right to the end.

Hello Berona:-))

My son is fine and dandy, as I type he is swimming in the pool. I'm sure it must of been the heat, as my daughter was very irritable when I picked her up from school.
Ah the joys:-))

Its about 36 here today, we are expecting a cooler day tomorrow, so all should be back to normal:-))

Hello to all

Perey, I'm very sorry to hear about your cousin.

Loved your security messages....somehow they seem to sum up each nayions attitude :0))

Welcome Dizzi.

To all Ozies, there is a programme on ABC tomorrow night at 8.00pm called Gnow and Then

It is about the Mallee Fowl preservation programme at Ongerup in the Shire of Gnowangerup (hence the title).

I'm assuming that this will be shown Nationwide at the same time.

As you may be aware I was recently working at Gnowangerup and Ongerup is one of the townsites in the Shire.

The Mallee Fowl Centre is a fantastic place and is a small oassis in an otherwise fairly typical bush area.

You may even get a glimpse of the Stirling Ranges

Very good morning to all and sundry,

Yes Allan I thought the security alert was trés amusant when I received it yesterday.

I have just popped in at 7.48am to say I won't be here this morning.
AND I do not want Asterisk and Obelisk leading Berona on a merry dance (be it tango or otherwise Tec). As Hoff would say Behave!!!

Have a good evening Brits and a good day Aussies.

Good evening Brits! Good morning if any Australasians are here.

Perse - I hope you don't stay away too long. I can't manage these boys on my own!! When will Linda be back?

Diane - I want a WORD with you!!! You said goodnight to us before midnight - then submitted a post at 1:37am!!!! What were you doing still up at that hour? Were the neighbours having fun again?

Dizzi. I did wonder if everyone would get what I meant when I said it was the only page 3 I'll ever be on. It's page 3 for the pin-ups in our tabloids.

Tecwyn Report 3 Feb 2010 21:21

Hi Everyone,

Berona, Who is this Asterisk and Obelisk who are leading you a merry dance? Linda is due back at the weekend.
How glamerous are you today with the posh hair do?

Diane, I hope you are not too tired after prowling the boards half the night - does your anti-social neighbour never sleep either?

Perse, I am sorry to hear of your cousins illness - my neighbour died of a brain tumour last April aged just 54 - he fought it valiantly for three years.
I loved the Alert Levels , it was brilliant, and so typified the various nationality's.

Carole, I hope the sickness is now over. I think I would be ill too in those temperatures, hope it is cooler for you today. Well done your daughter with the riding......good for her.

Pat, Hope you don't turn into a soccer hooligan, sitting there shouting and screaming at Tottengham. Good Luck Leeds

Berona Report 3 Feb 2010 21:31

Good evening Tec. You'll have to ask Perse about Asterisk and Obelisk - she named them - but I'm sure I know who she is talking about!!

Hair do??? I only had it cut. That's all I ever have done. They usually blow-dry it into a style, but I come home and wash it again, otherwise I find myself scratching from the little hairs which don't get to drop on the floor of the hairdresser's salon. Then, I'm back to my normal style again. It has a bit of a bounce and curl in it without needing to be styled, unless I want a particular style - and I'm not very particular about it these days, as long as it's neat and tidy.

Allan

Allan Report 3 Feb 2010 21:39

Good evening /morning to all

Tec, Asterix and Obelisk are two cartoon characters: I think that they are vikings. They always seemed to be in trouble!

Perhaps Persey was trying to say something. Bit from what I have heard the Viking equivalent of Valhalla also involved a lot of quaffing of ale and your pick of the maidens.

Perhaps just as well after you have just been carted off the battlefield by the Valkyries.

Wagner has a lot to answer for!

Pat I hope that your team wins

Diane you should write a book about 'im upstairs.

Good morning to Berona

Good Morning Berona,

I could have given you a trim if that's all you wanted, but I don't suppose I'd be trusted. I expect you prefer to keep your ears really.

The Duchess has cut her own hair for years - the last time she went to the hairdressers many years ago, they made a right mess. She never went again and prefers to do it herself - pretty good too.

Good Morning Allan,

I've never heard of Asterix and Obelisk - but I do like the idea of lots of quaffing of ale, and pick of the maidens.

Do you think they have any vacancies? I am available.

The ale isn't so good locally, and as for maidens - forget it

Tec

Berona Report 3 Feb 2010 21:48

Good morning Allan. Been out walking?

Tec - the fact that you say the duchess does her own - and doesn't get you to do it - says it all! Nice of you to offer, but I'll stay with the usual method, thanks.

Diane

Diane Report 3 Feb 2010 21:50

A very quiet goodevening/ goodmorning all,

I plead the fifth amendment, I wasn't here really your honour.

Tec I can't even blame the upstair's neighbour's, I was just checking before I went to bed after I had been on facebook.

Hi Pat good luck with the footie match hope you win.

Hey Perse your suppose to be here to help me with Berona, I'm on my own I need you to help me Pleeeeease

Carole sorry hun I forgot to say congratulation's to your daughter earlier.

Allan Report 3 Feb 2010 21:52

Tec, there is one drawback to Valhalla, you have to be killed in battle before you can gain admittance!.

Berona, yes I went for a walk this morning and then became engaged in a coversation with a wheeli bin which it thought was deep and meaningful.

I just thought that it was talking rubbish
