I'll let you into a secret I was going to quietly delete myself and give up on this site.

The nature of the boards have changed so much in the 6 years I have been a member and to be honest healthwise I can't be doing with all the 'politicing' (is that a word?).

I am thoroughly ashamed of myself for swearing on this board... what I do in private is one thing but I am disgusted I let myself get so angry and didn't have the common sense to 'change channels'.

From a genealogy point of view I have not had a any decent contacts for a couple of years although I have been able to help others.

This morning I received a request as follows :-

The heading was a name and the message read :-

"What was her middle name. Did she marry? if so who"

I think this is quite curt and rude and it was the last straw.

I then put up my 'silly Spurs' thread and have had some really lovely people replying and saying such nice things that I think I'll stay just a little longer :))))
