Hi all cat lovers,I am in hot water on a new thread, so thought that I would update you all on Wilfred.

He is now a beautiful,sleek,,affectionate, lovely companion,who is a real pleasure to share one's home with,

He sleeps on my bust at night,and is superglued to my left leg in the daytime. He has decided that he loves me,and won't let me out of his sight.

I am so glad that I forced the issue and kidnapped him,can you imagine being out in this weather,dosn't bear thinking about.

Hello everyone, I have an update on the life of Wilfred.

He has been living with us for a month now,and is nicely settled in,now we have the heating on he is in seventh heaven,hogging the radiators. He is getting fat and sleek,and gets on fine with my other two.

This morning we took him to the vet to be chipped and relieved of his prize jewels.He came through fine and is now eating his head off..He really is a lovely,mild mannered cat and is proving a wonderful addition to our family.

There is not much to add to that eccept to say,thanks for all caring,I will see that he lives happily ever after, Love ,Nina from Sheffield xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

That's just reminded me of something I saw on telly. The owner of a large stately home was being interviewed,Lord somthing or other. He was sitting in a fantastic library on what was obviously a well loved Queen Ann leather armchair.The front had also been loved by the family cat as it was in tatters.

It was most comical amongst all the antique furniture.

Then there is Lord Bath who's labrador has eaten his office furniture,and his hearing aid. My mum's dog once ate her false teeth, she had some new ones made,and the dog promptly ate those.

I used to have a cat that clawed the wallpaper - but ONLY behind the doors that tended to be left open - clever wasn't he? LOL
I have a cloth covered sofa - well used to have - now there are a lot of holes, the fabric could only take so much clawing.
Used to have a wicker chair as well - now one side at the front is 'unwoven'.
As for carpet - I've given up. Every doorway was a tripping hazard where the cats had shredded it!

God knows but we do lol
My alices favourite thing is clawing the wallpaper done it all over the house little rascal but still love her

Cats! Why do we love them so!! OH has just dicovered the back of the settee, which Lizzie has been stropping her claws on! I had not pointed it out.

I have a lovely pink leather sofa which survived 2 senior cats and 2 (now 5 yrs old) kittens - then 2 years ago I took in a bedraggled waif that we found abandoned - she soon saw to making up for the lack of damage by 4 other cats lolol


I had a very nice and very expensive carpet laid 9 years ago when i moved in - went away for 3 weeks hols and came home to find the cats had decided to claw at it everywhere!! Worse place is the corner of my bottom stair which is now a despondent piece of hessian backing with a smattering of carpet still attached ................ my 2 yr old orphan has now decided the top one needs to match it grrrrrrrrrrrrr

Hi all, there is really no problem with hoover or hubby. I have two vacuum cleaners,one for upstairs which is a "posh" one, but the one that now stinks to high heaven is my favourite old hoover senior that I had revamped.

Wilfred is now settled in and part of our family, my cats are far more important than carpets and hoovers
Five years ago I bought my very first brand new leather suite,a few months later I adopted two kittens who promptly turned it into draylon, and my new large curtains into candlewick. They did look funny,racing each other up to the top,one on the inside t'other up the lining.

Hello Annina..... so pleased that Wlfred is doing so well:o))

If it was my OH he does'nt smell or taste:o)) so l could just say that l had spilt some water or tea on it, take it to the mending man and explain the story, hoping it could be repaired!! if not then buy a new one...mind you they may ring up and want to know why it smells....2nd thoughts just chuck it...lol

I agree with Daff. Is there no way you could sabotage the vacuum - maybe say the smell sounds like an 'electrical' fault?
