She does not mind the snow or rain usually but it may have been her arch enemy after her LOL.

Have the Waltons sneaked in while we weren't looking? LOL

If it keeps up , Beta Male won't be going to work in the morning. If he did, he suspected 'they' would insist he stayed in a 5* Hotel at company expense, which he SO didn't want. The Youth of today, eh?

LaGooner Report 5 Jan 2010 23:03

If he is like my son he treats this as a five star hotel LOL. Just off to bed now after this last sweep of the boardsso catch you tomorrow. x

Well it looks like it's been snowing all night again and it's still snowing now.

RMS, the wheelchair-bound person doesn't drive, he gets picked up by a special bus - but it can't get to us because the snow is too deep. My car is a Ford Fusion, it won't budge through the snow and it spins around like Jane Torvill on the ice.

Take care everybody, stay in if you can.

Snowing here very lightly at the moment but it is supposed to get heavier this afternoon. I am in hibernation LOL

Bit of a bummer there, Pauline. Hope that at least you have been able to get fresh food, or have a good store cupboard. I know a lot of people swear by a full freezer, but what happens when you get a power cut???

Morning everyone else.
We had about 1in overnight...paltry compared to others! The clouds are very heavy and we are expecting more. We had an early deiivery this morning (sale purchase). They came up from Gillingham and said the roads are cleared and very light traffic. Our road (1st delivery) was the deepest they had seen!

LaGooner Report 6 Jan 2010 10:38

If the freezer packs up bung it outside in the snow LOL.

Morning DET. we have about 4 to 5 inches here and it is still falling lightly.

at least we get paid it is deep and there is about 12 inches in my garden it is light and easy to shift at the moment I have just fed the rabbit and Guinea pigs ,
we have more due and most evening activities are cancelled , I went out to pay the papers etc before coming home to stay lol .

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 6 Jan 2010 14:52

I have not ventured out at all. It is not very deep here but I had no reason to go out so I am sitting here doing a bit of my tree thanks to a bit more info received.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 6 Jan 2010 15:17

I bet it is. Good exercise for the legs though LOL. The sort of exercise I will do without thanks. All our schools in the area are shut today although it is not that bad.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 6 Jan 2010 15:36

Hello - a grand total of 2 inches here - lol! it's been snowing gently all day. I think the local schools have closed early. Beta Male has been let out as it is snowing in Central London, and is coming home.
Although we have been out today, we will have to do a massive car shuffle later so Problem Child is closest to the end...she has to go to work tomorrow.
Nice and toasty indoors - just the place to be!

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 6 Jan 2010 15:51

Surrey and points west do seem to have had it bad. We seem to have caught the edge of it and at the moment can get out and about quite well. Just waiting for it to freeze, then it will be a different matter!
