I've got mine set to friends only, so others can't see my pics. It's easy to do through your account settings.

I've been on there a couple of years now, and learned the hard way how easy it is for someone to abuse your trust, but that we also have control over who sees what on there. I've got one or two people blocked, who I wouldn't trust with the rats from the sewer, but they really are only one or two people.

I must be getting grumpier in my old age cos I got irritated when I had too many friends on there and knocked over 30 on the head. I also - with a couple of exceptions - removed people I didn't know very well, partly because I trust people less and partly because most of my FB friends are real life people - I don't see it as an extension of GR or anything like that.

Grumpy?....................yes i can agree with that. lol

...and cut to the quick I was to be knocked on the head .........

Uggers, I can understand that, but although I have a lot of friends on there from here, lots of them I have met and are friends with in real life now, and some I am with for other reasons than GR. I also have family on there, and other real life friends.

I've also found a couple of cousins we lost touch with because of divorce, death etc, and that's been a real bonus.

I'm not that mithered about who I have on there.....there's nothing I have on there that I'm much bothered about......and if anyone is looking for juicy gossip on me they'll be disappointed........*Muffy swears a bit and takes the pee* ......AND? lol xx

Hiya Tim, people wasnt slagged off for being on FB it was the private group a couple of objected to the topic of conversation on there which some one took it upon there self to copy and paste and send round to others, some people have moved on some havent, it was never a hate group.

I love FB, I love some of the applications and games, I still go on my farm now and gain, I have contacted people off here for one reason or another on FB but dont like to make a habit of it incase they think I am harrassing them, I have friends from school family work and GR I am happy to mixed the lot as I have nowt to hide and am me on here and there... the only thing I am protective with are photos...

*mutters* Well I could never accuse Hayley of 'harrassing' me, she NEVER contacts me LOL.

I too protect my photo's especially the nude one..................lol

I am on there, as are my adult grandchildren and Great nieces and my sister and it is handy if I want to contact them quickly because I know they are usually around on there. I have my privacy set to friends only. Other than family I have people from GR and ex GR. having said that, I don't go on there a lot and I don't use any of the additional bits., or join groups etc.

I love FB. It's a great way to keep up with family and friends in the UK. It was also great when my son was deployed overseas as he could communicate with us more easily over the internet than the phone. I've just received a load of old photos from a family member so that's a plus. If I get an invitation I only accept those that I'm happy to have as friends. I have received some that I feel just want to see what's going on with other friends I have - I ignore them.

i am proud to call them my friends
i do have a strange character on my facebook
but he is cheeky but harmless
and everybody has got used to his comments
and the banter is brill

I think FB is great.
I can communicate with friends and family around the world.
A little "natter" on a daily basis.
A little banter back and forth sometimes makes my day.

As far as pictures go, only my friends can see them. I can see friend's photos and be a part of what's going on in their lives.

And oh yes, some of the games are addictive.
