I am fine Barbara. I am wondering if I should actually watch "Home and Away" used to years ago when my youngest was home. It is on - I think every evening here about 5.30pm and there is another one on earlier in the day which I think is a repeat.

But it is good fun making comments about nothing I know about - that way I sound far more informed.

The other thing I like about Scotland is that they eat more curried takeaways there than anywhere else - Allan would be right at home - he loves a currie.

Have been on you tube - I started watching Hinge and Brackett and then got on to watching funny bits of Coro Street.

It is nearly 2am - getting to be like Diane awake at all hours.

Hi Perse its messages in Scotland & shopping for us . [ went in a local shop for barm cakes , no idea !!!
thier muffins are sweet .
. Think I already said this they always say when you have finshed shopping
is that you then . so laid back its a pleasure to shop they are interested in you .& not like big stores in Lancs Are you well ??

We have some teachers like that here in NZ.

from the supermarket. And you get home Do you say fetch the messages? or get the shopping?

The only time I ever here the expression is in TV or Movie programmes that feature Scotland. Saw a very depressing and thought provoking movie set in Glasgow once called "The Rat Catcher" and the mother said to the young boy "fetch the messages."
