Where do you think they get the money from for the milk, juice and celery???

Probably no bank near the place, but a post office with a bank agency in it.
Come to think of it - has anyone ever seen a postman? They always seem to pay cash too, so no credit cards seem to be used - not even in the restaurant.

Aren't we a cynical lot?? lol.

Barbra, Irene has started singing. Would really send Alf around the twist, can't see them getting together in the near future. I'm just about to press the mute button every time she belts out another tune. :-0 :-0

Where do they bank the van fees and when. I never hear anyone saying "I'm going to do the banking".

If that happens, Barbra, I hope the caravan park will be pulled into shape with the vans parked in neat rows as they are in other parks - not higgledy-piggledy as theirs are. I notice the vans go right up to butt onto the bushland. That's a no-no, for starters. There needs to be a big, big space in order to avoid bushfires.
However, these writers have probably never stayed in a caravan park in their lives. If they had, they would know that there is always an 'office', even if it is part of the proprietor's home. Regulars and visitors alike have to 'check-in' and those paying fees need to have receipts. In H&A, people walk in the door and look straight at the dinner-table!

There must be shopping facilities nearby because I have seen them bringing in milk, fruit juice and celery - often. As for petrol - a minor detail, not worth mentioning. How else do Sid's family get back and forth to the farm? I've often wondered how far from the beach that is supposed to be. I get the impression that it is miles away as it looks to be well out in 'no-man's land'.

Barbra, you may be correct.

However, cars are only used in Summer Bay for:

1) taking people to lonely places where the car breaksdown. Usually when there is a mad/jealous/prisoner on the run (take your pick)

2) For leaving town at speed (and who wouldn't) only to (a) Crash into the nearest tree or (b) to be pulled over by the cops, usually when you have promised your boyfriend/girlfriend that you will dispose of the 20 kg. bag of heroin they have hidden in the boot.

Cars are not actually used for the purpose of going from A to B but merely as transport to the nearest disaster.

"Oh, what a tangled web we weave,
When first we practice to deceive!"

Nuff said. This is really drifitng off into the realms of the ridiculous. I think that the writers just drag up every impossible, and implausible, situation they can picture.

Summer Bay, together with Midsomer Norton, is on my list of places never to visit.

Hi Allan. In my day, boy friends were something which had to be kept secret and not talked about. We knew nothing about our teachers because they were never appointed to a school anywhere near where they lived so that their private lives were kept private. These days, they not only live close to the school, but their children attend - even their own classes.

Allan

Allan Report 14 Mar 2012 00:13

I remember the days when you gave your schoolteacher an apple, not your boyfriend

Berona

Berona Report 14 Mar 2012 00:05

Storyline is still revolving around April and Heath - with Bianca trying to support April and her school teacher trying to make her see what he is like - whilst at the same time, sleeping with him herself! The teacher is also getting funny feelings about Casey. Oh dear.

Tyler was sent off by Heath but keeps popping back. Don't know what the writers have in store for him.

I was surprised to see one of our top models has a small tat high up on her arm. What happens if tatts go out of fashion?

Berona

Berona Report 9 Mar 2012 09:21

Regarding Leah - I did see that she and her husband were receiving baby congratulations. Don't know if a baby has arrived or is on the way. Maybe that's why she looks a little different?

That two-timing @#$%& - Heath! Irene is awake to him and has warned him that if he hurts April, he will have her (Irene) to answer to!

Elijah is there with nothing important to say. We won't be seeing him after April - I suppose that will be May for you.

Another fight coming up so back to the mangled look. He has such a nice face too, awwwwwwww.

Marion the little tatts can look quite pretty. My young friend has a lovely butterfly on her foot, which looks very elegant. I can't handle these large, all over ones.

I think Leah gets "gentle" work done every now and then. She seems to have a wrinkled brow and then it disappears for a while, maybe some lasering too.

Poor April, reality will soon hit hard, silly girl!!! :-(

You are no doubt right, Kim. I get up and move around while those live shows are on, so I must have missed the tats on Heath. I don't like him but I think a lot of that is the role he plays, coupled with what I know about him in real life. I would prefer not to know about their private lives, but couldn't miss that as it was on TV a few times.

Brax's face has cleared up very quickly and I'm pleased to see he has sent the young bloke packing.

You are probably right Berona, but my son and I watched DWTS and Heath definitely had his tatts. I read a piece on Brax and he has to have the artwork applied each day before filming, so you have your wish.

A few more then: Sasha/Xavier, John/Gina, teacher/Casey and Ruby/Romeo.

Hope Casey's friend is gone for good now. I begin to itch when I see him. :-|

Berona

Berona Report 8 Mar 2012 05:51

If Heath's tatts are real, I don't think all of them can be. I remember him saying something about the time it took to re-do them each day. He said that when he was on DWTS - and we couldn't see them then. I hope Darryl's are fake. I like him without them.

Yes, quite a mix up with all the love affairs. Roo is on again, off again with the new Councillor. I still don't like him. Gina and John are also arguing - Sasha is lying and Casey's friend is a pain in the neck, using what he knows about Casey to free-load, even though he has a job. He'll get his come uppance soon. Alf won't put up with him for long. I still see Alf and Marilyn in the old version. Alf, thinner and dark haired - Marilyn with a waist to die for!

MEgirl

MEgirl Report 8 Mar 2012 04:36

Tatts are everywhere. I think they make the skin look very dirty, especially those fully bodied ones. Brax's are fake, but Heath's are the real deal. I think there will be lots of lasering when these muscle-bound young men become wrinkled and these artworks fall into the crevices. I'm a bit old-fashioned too, just my opinion, not meant to upset anyone.

Haven't seen Elijah for over a week, amazing!!!!

Indi/Romeo, Sid/Roo,Harvey/Roo, Leah/Brax, Ruby/Casey, Heath/April, Heath/everyone - enough to send a person around the twist!!!! ~~~~~~~~~ ;-) ;-) ;-)
