Yes I remember vinger ;-). Loved Lizzie.I've seen her in a few things including Mad Max.
Joan and those 'gloves'...yikes lol

Kate Ritchie played Sally as a child and right through - about twenty years of it. She was Miles' twin sister. Leah was surrogate mother for her.
She left to go into radio, but didn't last long. Not sure what she's doing now, but have seen her in a couple of commercials.

If you watched Cell Block H, (it was Prisoner here), you would remember Vinegar T*ts. She, too, is in the '89 series of H&A as Alf's sister.

Hi all.

Jean, my lot like only Fools and Horses...I got sick hearing it lol

Kim before we know it it will be back on.
I used to like Cell block H,even though the set up was a bit wobbly at times.

Berona ..is funny looking back at the old ones.Who was Kate Ritchie

I had a look at to-day's episode of the 1989 H&A. Lance and Marilyn are talking of getting married and the school master (Fisher?) 's adopted daughter Bobby gets a visit from her real father - played by Terry Donovan.
I think I have it right. I only look in occasionally to see if I can see anyone from the current crew there. Terry looks younger than his son, Jason now looks.

Also saw a teenage Danni Minogue. It's quite interesting to compare them with how they look to-day. Some of them have changed, some have just got 'older' and some never change. Even though Kate Ritchie was only about 9 or 10 then, only the body has changed. Her face is still the same!

I think we get some of the American comedies during that period here when H & A takes a break. Nothing that I can watch anyway, lol.

time for a coffee I think. 1.44 pm EST

We have watched most of the old comedies several times over the years, but the one guaranteed to make us laugh is 'Last of the Summer Wine' We seldom miss it if it is on, can compare with many that we know!

Must be the hair dresser on there that is to blame for all those shocking hair do's Berona.

We have Meerkat manor at 6pm in place of H&A Kim. We now watch the news 6-7pm as I used to watch H&A on fiver at 6-30...incase I missed it at 6pm.

Oh Irene's hair is a shocker. I remember when she was blonde all those years ago. I could cope with that, but this really doesn't suit here. Yes they are all going for the messy look. Xavier's new lady keeps her hair looking good and Bianca too.

Things moving along quickly now, but don't want to spoil it for everyone. What sort of programmes do they put on when H & A has it's annual holiday in the UK??

Hope everyone is well and the weather is being nice. Take care all.

Forgot to tell you about the HAIR on H&A. Ruby's hair has been pulled back into a very loose plait (looks like it was plaited three days ago!) but nothing has been done to organise the thicker part from below her ears and upwards. There is still no sign of any comb or brush being used.

AND - Irene has had hers coloured brown - ish. No more red hair for her - but again, no sign of a comb or brush being used. Looks like it has been washed, then she shakes her head - and leaves it like that to dry.

Hi all

Just catching up with my posts/threads.

Hanah Waterman has just had a baby with one of the Bill stars. ?? Higginson(Sp)She was married to whats his name in Eastenders.

I think we have Lewis on just now. I dont watch it though.
My oh watches the Mentalist, not sure if it's on just now or not.

The series being shown at the moment has Matthew as the duty sergeant. June, Tony and Jim are there, looking a little younger (and in Tony's case - a little thinner). Can't name the Super - an older man - I think he was before the red-headed super. Oh dear - my memory is not so good!

The new series of Midsomer has started and I'm trying to get my head around the new face of Barnaby. Sad that Ben Jones didn't get the promotion as Lewis did in Morse. Incidentally, one chanel here shows the old series of Morse in the daytime - then Lewis at night! Watching one whilst the other is still fresh in mind forces one to immediately compare how Lewis has aged! Still - we all do, don't we? it must be hard for actors to look back at themselves as they used to be.

Do you get The Mentalist in Britain?

I am thinking of Callum Stone. He and Smithy were always facing off, but they were there for one another at the very end. I liked Marm too!!!!

So many of them over the years, John Bolton was another I liked too.

Off to bed, night night. 11.41 pm EST

Boo-kay.....Boo-kay!....not Bucket!
I always laugh at the way she grabs their cups away from them before they are finished - or takes Richard's newspaper away while he is reading it.

Which sergeant in the Bill? Sgt. Cryer (retired)? or Matthew? and yes, Dale Smith was always nice.

I can always watch Hyacinth and Richard. She is my role model (lol), but she does remind me of my father's sister almost down to the last candlelight supper!!!

Darryl is perched.... just so at the moment. Heath has been caught with the goods. Charlie is torn in two - love hurts.

I always watched The Bill was sad to see it go. Dale Smith was my favourite, such a strong character and the other Sergeant, can't think of his name, but didn't always go by the books. Someone will remember his name for me, I'm sure.

The Bill finished in Oz some time ago, but has now re-surfaced on one of the new commercial chanels - not quite from the beginning, but a few years back. It's nice to see Polly and Reg again. Don't like it going to commercials though - it was always on the ABC before - with no commercials.

On the same chanel, we are getting re-runs of Are You Being Served? and Keeping Up Appearances and a few other oldies. I still enjoy them even though I have seen them before.

Used to watch Judge Judy, but got sick of the same old cases. Bert was always good for a laugh.

Heath is gone - dead gone duck. Stupid fellow, should have listened to BIG BROTHER, lol. Still alive, just in big sh** Hope Casey sees sense very soon.

Not much on tonight. I will have to dig out an old DVD. The year is moving along so quickly. I can't believe August is already here :-S

We had Big Brother for eight seasons. It started out good, but as time wore on, the producers didn't think it was 'raunchy' enough and began having the film spliced to show things which didn't really happen. As the evicted contestants kept saying "it didn't happen like that!", it became obvious that we weren't seeing the real thing. Also, their choice of contestants became very 'rough' - some of them there merely to 'shock' the viewer - where in actual fact, the viewer was more disgusted. The producers have only themselves to thank for the program's demise.

Darryl is in real trouble now. Literally caught with his pa*** d***........ - and by Charlie too.
