The beach does look lovely.
I was talkng about Australia last night. I've been twice.

The speach used in the script always reminds me of children whose parents may be those for whom English is a second language and they have not seen the need to correct the children as parents do. Then, I wonder how they got the job of script-writing? but we have a lot of these people in this country, so maybe the producers are in the same category?

Also, from time to time, they show ignorance of procedure/law in certain areas - meaning that they don't check their facts before writing them into the script.
They do, however, make the story 'move'. In fact, I've found that if I miss an episode, I later wonder "what happened?" to people who are no longer there!

Summer Bay doesn't exist, of course. It is filmed at Palm Beach, one of the northern beaches in Sydney.

That will be why I don't watch it.... i saw the early episodes and thought there was more happening acting wise in my own household with my youngest daughter and her mates - all teenagers. Life was drama after drama and comedy after comedy... I actually miss them all - our house was where all the girls had sleepovers - we were the one family that knew where everyone was. Then we used to have the boys and the girls stay over - it was a real hoot at times. Spent a fortune on food though.

I have only been watching it for about four years. I knew it was on previously, but the acting was so bad, it was the butt of jokes on other chanels. A new chanel is showing it right from the beginning again, but I looked at a few episodes and I'm afraid I couldn't stomach it! The actors of the current show seem to be better trained than the earlier ones - but I still have a lot I could say about the script-writers and the lack of research on some of their subjects.

At the moment, Romeo is having woman trouble - thanks to sewing his wild oats with Ruby - and Angelo is getting deeper into trouble with dodgy characters.

I have been reading through archived episode lists and have been reminiscing of the time when I was an avid H&A fan from 1994 to about 2000. I left college that year and got my first job and was home just as the show finished so lost touch.

I have been doing a bit of digging into the characters and have found some biographical info on the old school. Fisher and Alf were both born in 1945. Fisher turned 50 in February 1995 in Australian episodes and Alf in July that year in Oz episodes. I think Morag is a bit younger than Alf. I notice she is back again.

I vaguely remember Liam sharing the unit originally owned by Nicole's father, Roman. I don't thihk we were told where he went after he left there, but I think he just threw a few sticks together and put a tarp over it when he rode off into the sunset with Bianca. They are both school teachers - how come they need to live so primitively? Same as the doctor, renting the house which Martha left for Alf to take care of. Why does the doctor need to live on a farm which he doesn't work? Once again - the script writers have forgotten a few things. I'll admit that they do make the storyline 'move', but they tend to forget a few things along the way - and don't do enough research.

BTW - Myles is back - only he isn't. Different actor.

Morning Berona.

I was amazed at Liams 'house' lol. Apart from the electricity. It's still there and not been 'nicked ' unless it really is out in the wild.
They must have been luck with the weather too.
Is that where he lives full time? Or did he just throw it together for the two of them?

It's not hard to get the kind of furniture Liam and Bianca are using. As for the power - no, I don't think their extension cord would be that long. They probably have a generator - although it wouldn't surprise me to learn that the script writers haven't thought of that one - as with a lot of other things they write about.

Alf seems to have been written out of the show - at least for a while, anyway - and big sister is taking over his responsibilities in the park and his bait shop.
She is also taking over the legal side of Nicole's decision about her baby. In the meantime, a few 'nasties' seem ready to invade the Bay, so Charlie and her crew will be busy.
