My DIL's mum has owned a cabin for many many years. It is like a caravan park - but no caravans. Same set-up and rules, but all permanent cabins.
We were discussing H&A yesterday and I asked DIL if she had ever worn high heels in the park? She thought for a while and then said, "yes, I probably did when I was young and silly"
I suppose that blew my argument about Marilyn!

Berona I spotted Brendon right away on H&A. i used to watch country practice,he was so nice in there.

Dee ..I liked Marilyn in Emmerdale too,much the same on there.

Jean... I hope she doesnt die, and its Liam who wins over Bianca.

Marilyn and her heels.....I was amazed the other week when she walked along the pier and not once got her heel cought in the gaps. I wonder if there were a few takes of that part or,if she is so good on her heels

Georgie Parker is taking the part of Roo. Haven't seen her yet, but she is a well-known actress, constantly on TV or stage. I would have thought that moving into H&A would be going backwards for her, but she may not last long.
Vittorio or Liam? Again, I suppose the writers need to know who is available before they write the story!
I'm waiting to see Marilyn trip over and break her leg because she wears high heels all the time - on rough ground in the park and on the beach. She must be very short - wears her hair high too - all to make her look taller?

Went to edit a post I had put on here and it disappeared into the ether. Not worth remebering what I was saying now!. Who will win, Vittorio or Liam? Marilyns death must be a joke, I cant see it happening. She and Sid would make a stable older couple for this series.

I dont think Marylin will die, its too unlikely, unless it is a car accident. Fed up with the Penne story, its too ridiculous. Wonder who will win, Vittorio or Liam? Would be nice to see Miles settled with someone, though I know batchelors can survive on their own!

Hi all, haven't tuned in for a while.
Some of you are ahead of us in the story lines I think. We have had the Alf/Penne story line this week and Marilyn has just been given her date of death.

I remember Roo (Alf's daughter) from years ago....as far as I can remember, she was a spoilt brat and was horrible to her piers. I can just remember her face, had fair hair bobbed a little, if I remember correctly. She was a teenager back then, but I can't remember how she went out of it, I know she moved out of Australia, and her name has been brought up over the years by Alf. It will be nice to see how she is brought back into it. Dare say it will be a new actress when she appears back in the series.

If Marilyn will be going out of it soon, I wonder if she will come back to UK and appear back in Emmerdale? Time will tell, I guess?

Wet & windy Scotland today . can just see you sat now when H&A on and listening for the bird chatter & cursing me . cos` we cant see them, just hear the critters our english birds are more refined ;0)). Take care Barbra x

I can't say I've noticed the birds so I'll pay more attention and see if I can tell you. Those are the sounds we hear wherever there are a lot of trees and it usually involves a few different kinds of birds, not necessarily parrots.

Who's Roo? or is that another one of Allan's stories?

I saw "Alf" in an old program recently - made in 1984 - and was amazed at his cultured accent. Face exactly the same but slightly thinner - hair darker and more of it - and the body much thinner too. I had to turn away to recognise the voice, but the accent was totally different and I couldn't imagine him being able to say "strewth". He is working in London at the moment.

I also recorded something last night, and when I played it back, during a commercial, there was a quick clip of that old scene from Country Practice where Brendan ran across the field (Wandin Valley), screaming "Molly!!" when he realised she had died. I've played it over and over and I would never have recognised him as John Palmer. I've seen 'Molly' recentrly and she hasn't changed much.

Everyone is still under suspicion, even though there is no proof yet that Penne is dead.

Yes, she did - while she was in gaol! Admittedly, she was not guilty of killing her lover - but when I applied to be a carer, my son lived with me and both of us had to do a six-week course while various checks were being done on both of us - medical/financial/police - and references were checked.

Have you seen John Palmer's daughter yet? All these new ones are getting hard to keep up with.

Penne has gone missing and everyone seems to think he is dead. Re-enter the detective who was there once before - this time he suspects, Alf, Angelo and Nicole - giving them all a turn, even though no body has been found. I just hope the writers consult somebody before they go off and do it all wrong.

I'm still getting my head around the fact that Irene said she is registered with the Authorities as a children's carer.
Then, she says she is a recovering alcoholic!!!!

I have been a qualified children's carer and all I could do was shake my head when I heard that one. Don't they ever check their facts before writing them into the script?
