Have managed to find a birth for a George Edward Skerry in Lewisham Greater London Kent in the April quarter of 1856. Cannot find the death in 1930 though.

If this is George Edward Skerry he can be found in the 1861 census living with his parents George Skerry and Ann Skerry possibly nee Price. Both born in Norfolk. They were living at 7 Mount Place Charlton. Also at this address is his sister Charlotte E Skerry.

1871 Census still at 7 Mount Place Charlton with his parents. He is a pupil teacher born in Charlton Kent.

1881 Census living at 7 Gladstone Terrace, St Cuthberts, Edinburgh, Midlothian, with his sister Charlotte who is a ladies maid. Also living with his small son George R P Skerry aged 1 month. George's given occupation is Clerk general Post Office.

1891 Census. Living at Thurlow Park Road, Abbotsford Streatham London. with his wife Susannah E Skerry and children, Emma E Skerry, Mabel E Skerry, Edward C Skerry and George R K Skerry. His occupation is given as: Clerk of Holy Orders Reformed Episcopal Church,& Principal of College of Schoolmasters. Clergy.

UPDATED! Photo added to GR Photos board.
Whilst out at the Bootsale today I came across a photo of a man with Grey hair, small round glasses and a smart pinstripe suit. He looks approx 50-70 yrs of age. On the back of the photo is written:

"George Edward Skerry." Died 23rd August 1930 aged 74yrs." Which would mean he was born around 1856. If anyone knows who this man in the photo is and is related to him, I would like to return the photo to the nearest family member I can find, free of charge.

Many thanks Lainey.
