Hi Tess
Aww thankyou im glad it makes you smile
I still find it hard to believe sometimes
It has totally changed my Dad he seems to have got a spring in his step lol
And according to my cousins Margaret has too
Im so glad that I never gave up but i must addmit there were times i felt i was banging my head off brick walls
Margaret is going up to Scotland in June for a week to spend time with my parents which will be lovely for them
visiting places they grew up and of course they are going to go to their mums grave together to lay flowers as i managed to locate where she was burried so no doubt that will be a very emmotional time for them
Then my parents are going to go to Margarets for a holiday later on in the year
They keep in regular contact on the phone and are forever chatting lol
Janey will always be a part of my family now and i will forever be in her debt we all raised a glass to Janey at the reunion and cannot thank her enough she is a very special lady to us all
PP xxxxxxx

I smile every time we get an update from you Polly.

In fact I grin ear to ear.
You should be proud of yourself, with all your hard work and determination to find your Aunty.

Janey must be very pleased too. She must by now be an Honoury Cousin (sorry about the spelling).

With all our modern technology it is so easy for them to stay in touch and exchange information and they seem to be taking full advantage of it.

Thinking of you all,
smilingly,
Tess

It IS a lovely photo. They do look alike too. You must have loads of photos of all of you.
I suppose that the emails and phone calls have been flying thick and fast recently (unlike aircraft this last few days).

Did you compare wedding photos etc. ?

With some clever digital alterations, someone might be able to put your Dad in Margaret's wedding photos and vice versa.

Thanks for keeping us up to date with your news,

Tess

Lovely photo and write up, shame about the hearing aids lol

I do hope your Dad and his sister can spend lots of time together or just talking on the phone too. I am sure Cecil and also Margaret's late husband are watching all that goes on, who knows if somehow they guided you and Janey to success.

Polly,

It is wonderful stories like this that is true Family History research. Not a long line of distant names and dates, but real people with a shared heritage. So heart warming.

A happy future to you all.

Hi Ann
Aw thanks its a lovely photo
The only thing annoying me is they keep saying my sister helped she didnt
I done it all by myself ( and a bit of help from Janey )
But they keep putting her name in
Still never mind the main thing is they got back together :)

[ Heh heh, Quoy. The 5th Viscount, he's all there. ;) Whether his younger brother fathered my gr-grfather and his sister just before getting killed at Alma in 1854, therein lies the question! Or at least my gr-grfather's fond tale. Various bits of the tale are in a long thread at the Monck TTF "surname board", for anyone who feels the karma move them. ;) ]
