Alittle while ago our library van man brought me a book he thought i might find interesting. Looked a bit dry ar first, but was very interesting, about the start of healthcare in this country in the middle ages until the present day. I thought i was working in good conditions, but not according to this book. Mind, I did start nursing 59 yrs ago.!

Thanks Jude for the link, yes she is an excellent writer, very credible characters. Books very different from each other.
Road Home - about Lev, who comes as legal immigrant to London, and follows his story as he makes his way and learns, to be a cheff, whilst a sort of parallell sp life back home with his mother, daughter, and close friend Rudi.
Trespass, group of people living in isolated rural France have their lives changed by another person joining them.. Not quite sure what you would call it, but a crime is comitted, but not fast paced but more subtle and a bit spooky.!!!!! :-S :-0

Me too. Have read all of them, and all good. The characters lives come into it, so probably best read in sequence, but not vital. Also, being set in a lovely part of the country makes them quite atmospheric.
Am reading Rose Tremain now, The Road Home, and Trespass. :-)

Julia, her main characters are Eve, Roarke and Peabody. does that help? She is a cop in the future and is married to a multimillioaire. They have a marvellous machine which they can programme for the food they want! America of course.

Absolutely fantastic book !!! Will be reading more of hers in the future....really enjoyed it !

Bit lost now because I'm still mentally in China with the characters in that book.

Just finished 'Indulgence in Death' by JD Robb, for the second time. Got it from the liv=brary van by mistake, but worth reading again. Love Nora Roberts(JD ROBB) books.

Oooh Greenfingers. I have read quite a few of her books, and think she is brilliant. Doesn't publish all that often, so I make a bee line for a copy whenever she does.
